Goeie dag. I will disclose that I'm not from South Africa nor have I ever been to South Africa but I love your music so much. I became hooked on artists like Seether, 16 Stitch, Cutting Jade, Zen Arcade, Tweak, Springbok Nude Girls, Battery 9, Fly Paper Jet, Brasse Vannie Kaap, and Jo Day among others. Why does your country have so many great artists that no one abroad has heard of? I found out about these artists from old SA music and news sites. Are there any other artists I should check out? Did you listen to these artists? I'd be very curious to know. Thank you!

I thought Duolingo was great before it enshitified. I genuinely learned more from Duolingo than from any other method. Will Babbel fill that Duolingo-sized hole? I want to learn Spanish to rizz goth latinas. Also because it's a beautiful language. I also live in an area with lots of people who speak it as a first language and I'd like to be able to communicate better. Thank you!

All of my important data is on btrfs drives. I intend to install my system on ZFS. Why, you may ask? Because I can. That's the fun of Linux after all. I intend to mount btrfs drives as well. I hear that ZFS can break fairly easily? Is this a bad idea?

Edit: I understand ZFS is out of tree but CachyOS maintains their own package and dkms so it shouldn't matter I would think?

When you tell people you have OCD they think your a neat freak or something. No! I live in near constant dread and anxiety from everything from "will eating this bread kill me?" to vile and disturbing shit that I don't feel comfortable sharing with anyone other than a therapist. People don't understand. They don't see how it eats away at you. Doubting who you are or why you do the things you do, doubting what you know to be true, constantly second guessing yourself. It's absolute hell. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I'm not posting this for sympathy. More so curious if anyone can relate. Misery loves company I guess.

I've been reading about PIE and i'm confused. As I understand, it is assumed to be the language spoken by Europeans 6,000 years ago. No written record of the language has ever been found so the language has been reconstructed through seemingly arbitrary means. So, In all likeliness actual PIE sounded very different. What makes this language (as it exists today) useful? This is essentially a conlang that is too complicated to learn. What am I missing? Sorry if I'm coming off as negative. I find PIE both confusing and fascinating.
