Why does bluesky limit signups like this? Is there any way for a run of the mill poster to get an invite? in c/[email protected]

I signed up months ago and got in invite before they closed again and I'm a normal person. Based on what I'm experiencing so far, they are still in beta and are keeping a finger on the number of users due to performance instability when a bunch of users sign up.
