I find peace and beauty in the wilderness of DayZ

DayZ comes to mind. I love the game but it kind of just throws you in and says , "Hey there. Survive."

Wow. It sounds like you have been hitting it hard. May your work be fruitful and trips to the hardware store minimal.

I have my guest bath torn down to studs. A new cast iron tub went in. I had to replace a few termite-eaten studs from who knows when. The house is 60 years old. I'm working on putting it all back together now. New insulation, then drywall and backer board. Then, moving on to the shower tile. Also, I have to schedule a new stone top for the vanity and get a new sink and faucet. Then, texture and paint all the walls and finally replace all the floor tile in the area. I started a week ago, but it's all moving quickly. If I can keep up the momentum, maybe I will be finished in a month.

Out of This World and Flashback. Always favorite old school cult classics.

Conan Exiles. I've had it in my library for ages but never gave it much thought. I'm having a lot of fun building my fortress and converting the locals to be my thralls.

Kena Bridge of Spirits. I'm so glad I tried this game. It's quite good. The gameplay is similar to Horizon Zero Dawn and the story line touches the heart. I grabbed it free using PS plus premium.

DayZ can be fun. Building up a base and trying to survive together. A bit of a learning curve but a very social game. Especially if you find a good private PVE server.

GameSpy. Finding a server you clicked with. Meeting the other players that frequented there. Joining clans and chatting it up on the forums. So much creativity flowed making banners or avatars the showed off your stats from the server and such.

Exactly this. I work in IT and when looking for an answer I would Google search my question followed by Reddit and normally find a post with the answer I needed. I hope Sysadmin here becomes just as active.

I've been playing DayZ for a bit over a year. I played mostly on private PvE servers and now know Livonia pretty well. Just this last week I decided to give official a try on a First Person Only NYC server. 2 days in I've had 4 fire fights killed 3 players and the pure rush of survival is just amazing. I'm glad I gave PvP a try. I will probably stay more on official now. Dying and losing everything is part of the fun. PvE was boring being geared all the time with no real chances to take. Just wanted to post about how much I have been loving this game. I hope the updates keep rolling out for a long time to come.
