From a quick look at the code in particular this, I would guess the cache being emptied and not populated yet.

On another note, I'm unsure what it counts. Do Announce activities count as a status?

Following [#Lemmy](https://rheinneckar.social/tags/Lemmy) communities (like [@asklemmy](https://lemmy.ml/c/asklemmy)) on Mastodon works surprisingly well. Of course I'm missing out on all the up- and in c/[email protected]

Yes and no. Lemmy announces Like and Dislike activities. I don't believe Mastodon (or similar) can interpret Announce of Like the same way it interprets a Like.
