Korea has granted refugee status to 1,544 asylum-seekers since the system’s introduction nearly 30 years ago, officials said Monday, translating into an acceptance rate of just 2.7 percent.

Between 1994 and 2024, 122,095 people applied for asylum in the country, with approximately 57,090 completing their cases through ministry reviews or litigation, according to the Ministry of Justice.

This figure is far lower than the average of more than 20 percent among member states of the OECD.

That's kind of funny, yes if you use their website you're sending your data to china, but they also literary give you the model so you can run it on your own hardware.

Anyway that's what I'm doing, running the 14B DeepSeek-r1 model on my RTX 3060, it fits nicely into the 12 GB VRAM and is reasonably fast. The accuracy, nja it's so so.

Those proxies are sometimes weird. Ours blocks my toot.jeena.net but not my tube.jeena.net and I have no idea how they decide to block or not. Both are single user instances of mastodon and peertube.

Damn this show is getting better and better! This Episode in the outside looks stylistically very different but yet srangely similar to the ones inside.

All the twists and turns which get revealed in the last quarter, very cool!

This episodes differentness reminded me of another one of my favorite shows which changer the style frequently, Community.

Who would have known that Ben Stiller had so much creativity in him, I love it! Can't wait for next Friday!

Cender bottom, the blue thing. I'd use this:

But yeah, it's not quite easy.

Nobody wants to be seen in a Nazi-Mobil, not even in Germany, I guess?

I see, that's a shame, thanks for explaining it.

I'm on Arch Linux btw. and I have a RTX 3060 with 12 GB VRAM which is cool so a 14b model fits into the VRAM. It works quite well but I wonder if there is any way to help with the speed even more by trying to utilize the iGPU in my Intel 14600K. It always just sits there not doing anything.

But I don't know if it even makes sense to try. From what I read in some comments on the internet, the bottleneck will be the ram speed in the iGPU, which will use my normal ram which is a magnitude slower than the VRAM.

Does anyone have any experience with that?

I think yeah, most people don't use calendars. My wife doesn't even use one at work.

My dad though started using it after I implemented audible announcements of them in Home Assistant. He normally doesn't use his phone or computer much, but this way anywhere he is in his house he is reminded 90min before the event and then at the event again. With this he never misses appointments at doctors and so on anymore. That was what pushed him to use a digital calendar, every missed appointment costs quite some money.

Writing on the phone ... sometimes I should proof read it. What i wanted to write was something like

If the "no ads" and "ads free" version contains ads, then pirating the TV shows/movies is not immoral either.

Since its inception, Let’s Encrypt has been sending expiration notification emails to subscribers that have provided an email address to us. We will be ending this service on June 4, 2025. The decision to end this service is the result of the following factors:

  • Over the past 10 years more and more of our subscribers have been able to put reliable automation into place for certificate renewal.
  • Providing expiration notification emails means that we have to retain millions of email addresses connected to issuance records. As an organization that values privacy, removing this requirement is important to us.
  • Providing expiration notifications costs Let’s Encrypt tens of thousands of dollars per year, money that we believe can be better spent on other aspects of our infrastructure.
  • Providing expiration notifications adds complexity to our infrastructure, which takes time and attention to manage and increases the likelihood of mistakes being made. Over the long term, particularly as we add support for new service components, we need to manage overall complexity by phasing out system components that can no longer be justified.

The last post about it has been deleted because of a technicality that is wasn't a link to a secondary source but instead a screenshot of the primary source, which really goes against the spirit of the rule applied. It had many good comments and a lot of engagement so I'm posting a link now instead.

SEOUL, South Korea -- The tail of a passenger plane with 176 people on board caught fire before takeoff at an airport in South Korea Tuesday night, news reports said. All passnagers and crew weer safely evacuated.

The Air Busan plane at Gimhae International Airport in the southeastern city of Busan was bound for Hong Kong, Yonhap news agency reported. It's the time of the year again where we make Lunar New Years Dumplings at my parent's in law's place again. Every year I'm getting better at shaping them. This year they are with pork and beef mixed and half of them are with cabbage and the other half with celery.

feet, neck, liver, tongue, head

I live in Korea and sometimes we go to our local China town. When there I sometimes go to the shop with duck parts.

I don't like the toungue or the feet, but the liver is super tasty, spicy and flavourfull.
