The factory itself was built relatively close to the city(state capital as well). The chairman of the company, I think Warren Anderson was his name, visited India but instead of being arrested was personally given a safe passage by then Indian PM Rajiv Gandhi.
Less than 10 people were ever convicted. Corporate greed overruled human lives that day.
They are a major force in the Chinese market so maybe it might see some traction there, but otherwise, I still don't see a third mobile OS getting genuine market share.
