I think the proclaimed democratic collapse pertains to the "imperialism turned inwards" aspect of fascism. USA is running out colonies to exploit. Contradictions of capitalism are mounting resulting in severe deterioriarions in the material conditions of the working class. This could lead to even more violent suppression of the working class expressing their grievances.

Love pieces like this that pretend that the pandemic single handedly is upheaving the lives of the poor and that the innocent political economic system has nothing to do with it.

Don't be afraid. News piracy will become a thing if this shit becomes a trend.

Any mention of the "profession" of "Influencer" fills me with sadness and dread.

FFS why is this a thing. Someone wake me up.

Capitalism does the brutal double whammy of deteriorating familial ties so you can't stand your old folks for too long then forces you to live with them by making housing ridiculously expensive.

There's also rehab centres that get people hooked on opioids to wean them off street drugs.

I like how they throw in US soldier casualties and the dollars spent like it's a great tragedy. It's the cost they expended to destroy a far off region.

In March 2018, Hasél was sentenced to two years in prison for praising GRAPO terrorism and insulting King Juan Carlos I on Twitter.[11] In early 2021, he was ordered to voluntarily enter prison to serve a nine-month sentence for this conviction. He publicly refused this order,[31] and was eventually arrested on 16 February. Hasel, alongside a group of over 50 students, had barricaded himself inside University of Lleida's rectorate building in protest against his sentence.

I had some doubts but looks like they actually booked him for insulting the king. I find this too ridiculous to believe for an European country in the 21st century. But turns out, another rapper had to flee to Belgium for similar reasons.

I had no idea Spain was like this.

I feel they get shit like this because of the good PR it gets and because they have nothing else to spend their mammoth budgets on.

Unfortunately tweets like this do well with their target audience because they subscribe to the social darwinist view that some people (minorities, poors, etc.) are innately evil and more predisposed to being criminals and the only way to stop them is through a more oppressive state. During the last general election Tories were harping about putting more police on the streets for the same reason. As a capitalist state their concern isn't the cause of crimes because taking care of that would mean dispossessing the rich so they crack down on criminals instead.

Good work comrade.

I remember in the last general election Tories' platform was almost 95% about Brexit. The other 5% was lying about putting money in the NHS and truthfully asserting that they were going to put more cops on the streets to fight crime. I wouldn't be surprised if this problem exacerbates in the near future.
