As he mentions in the video, the field is lagging behind other (renewable) energy sources by a few decades. Many of our energy production methods are "make thing spin fast" and then turn that energy into electricity. Coal power plants burn coal, create steam, the steam drives a steam turbine and the turbine a generator. A nuclear plant works the same way, just by extracting heat from fission instead of burning the fuel. Wind turbines, too. The technologies for this, like metal forging and casting, handling of steam, steam engines and turbines have been around for a long time and we have become experts in them. Solar panels are an exception to this as they used a different mechanism to generate electricity. Nevertheless, all of these technologies can be safely developed and deployed on land. Handling harsh marine environments up to a point where you can reliably drive these generators for an extended period of time just doesn't exist yet. Historically speaking, this has not been necessary. So not only have to figure out how to best design wave energy extractors, we also need to get better at adapting them to the environment.

If you have a large stream of people constantly entering or leaving the building, both doors will be open all the time. In a rotating door, people can enter and exit simultaneously and constantly but you still have a working air lock that exchanges less air with the outside than a door that is open all the time.

I'm a physicist and I love KSP. You can learn a lot of things about orbital mechanics from textbooks, but KSP offers a great way to see how everything works. One of my TAs actually used it for teaching, to illustrate homework problems.
That's not how orbits work. You can't just point at the sun, accelerate slowly for 10 seconds and then you will arrive in a few hundred years. If you did that, you would still orbit the sun, just in a slightly different orbit than before. To actually reach it or get near enough to it that the junk burns off, you have to expend a lot of energy.
Laut statistischem Bundesamt arbeiteten 2022 nur 9.2% aller Erwerbstätigen bzw 8.4% aller Angestellten am Sonntag. Das ist ein sehr viel grösserer Unterschied als du ihn in deinem Kommentar annimmst. Andersherum heisst das, dass rund 90% aller arbeitenden Deutschen am Sonntag frei haben.
Ich bin hier nur Laie, aber bedarf es für Diebstahl nicht Vorsatz? Wenn man also alles in seinen Korb packt und dann beim Scannen etwas versehentlich nicht korrekt macht, dann muss der Ladenbesitzer nachweisen, dass man die Absicht hatte, die Ware nicht zu bezahlen. Und bei geringen Warenwerten bzw Ersttäterschaft wird die Staatsanwaltschaft ein Strafverfahren sowieso wegen Geringfügigkeit einstellen.
Auch wenn es in den "Tante-M"-Läden keine Beschäftigten gebe, entstehe in der Bevölkerung der Eindruck: Geschäfte haben offen. Geschäfte mit Personal könnten irgendwann fordern, auch öffnen zu dürfen. Der Sonntag als Institution werde immer weiter aufgeweicht.
Nachvollziehbares Argument. Das sehe ich aber dadurch entkräftet, dass normale Supermärkte dann eben auch auf Selbstbedienung umstellen sollen.
Generell sind SB Kassen so viel angenehmer als reguläre. Keine Interaktionen, man ist in etwa genau so schnell fertig beim Scannen und bezahlen wie vorher und es gibt keine Schlangen am Kassenband, also auch kein Stau beim anstehen.

Mir persönlich hat diese LK-99 Nummer etwas die Überzeugung von Südkoreanischen Forschern genommen. Aber wer weiß, vielleicht ist hier ja doch was dran...
Man kann doch nicht einfach alle Forscher eines Landes so über einen Kamm scheren. Selbst wenn sich das LK-99 paper als falsch oder nicht replizierbar herausstellt, kann man damit keine Rückschlüsse auf diese Veröffentlichung ziehen.
