USA - Cash a lot more recently. With how easy it is for my bank and stores to track my purchases with card, I've switched to cash as much as possible. Some stores say no cash but even those have never actually refused cash. I assume they're just trying to deter thieves.

The spark for this change for me was Target. I first looked into it cause I hated how they scanned my ID barcode when buying alcohol. Also, they openly track purchases even made without your account by your credit card number. In addition to what I've heard about intensive surveillance in the stores via high resolution cameras, enough to read phone messages, I have sworn off Target entirely.

EDIT: oh and to avoid tip creeping. I absolutely hate when non-tipped places ask for tips. Cash makes it a lot easier to avoid.

This is pretty much my sentiment, too. With the growth of federated social media, it's pretty much inevitable for big players to have their own. My only hope is that since it's decentralized, people aren't going to get stuck and forced into a single platform's experience.

Ah I think I messed this up, too. But at least for me, I care more about Reddit not having it than it being lost forever.

I'm surprised I haven't heard of this till now. It looks really good.

It always seems to be sold out whenever I check. I hope they have more runs of it soon. I used to track the status pretty regularly but have since given up.

Absolutely insane deal. So much content in these games. I bought it for $40 when they first launched it and feel like it was still a fantastic deal. Cannot recommend enough. The campaigns alone are worth it let alone multiplayer, mods, custom games, etc.

Forkyz* it seems. Spent a minute trying to find this. I've been trying to find a good crossword app, thanks!

It's felt like it's going pretty fast to me, especially for a change to the kernel. I'm very excited to start seeing more Rust additions going forward!

Thanks for the advice! I'll try to find something with good battery life.

I'm looking to keep a gnss on me when going on hikes and walks around parks, etc., so that I can upload the traces to OSM. Anyone have any recommendations for a good GNSS for this purpose? I've been looking for the most accurate one I can, but is it really worth it to find something as precise as possible? Or do small errors not matter as much?

It doesn't sound like it's limited to libera.chat.

Thanks to the standard, open protocols that IRC is built on, chat.sr.ht users are able to participate in the established community of IRC networks like Libera Chat.

EDIT: They do, however, appear to recommend it.

The recommended network for SourceHut users is Libera Chat: https://libera.chat

Probably just bash aliases:

e.g.

alias in="apt install"

Currently, whenever a community is shown (e.g. under a post or on the main page sidebar), it always shows the full title with spaces, etc. Is there a way to toggle a setting somewhere to replace these titles with just the name identifier? I didn't see anywhere in settings.

Or, if not, would this be something that would be considered in development?

In most cases, it doesn't seem too bad, but there are some that are just long sentences without any indication what the content really is.
