To be fair, I don't think they wanted to sell Hall this summer. He'd even extended this contract. But he's a boyhood Newcastle fan and seems like he pushed for the move, and fair play to Chelsea for not standing in his way.

Real sliding door moment for Rafa refusing to leave Everton to come back to us post takeover. I'm glad he didn't. But he must regret that move now

Gotta let us actually win something first. Then we can be banished to the shadow realm.

Fair enough. I'd probably feel the same way if it was West Ham that was taken over. I will say though that I can vouch for at least some of the fanbase - and I'd wager it's a mostly silent majority - being uncomfortable with the Saudi aspect. We just want to enjoy supporting our club without defending/deflecting with the horrible shit the Saudi state does.

But why read the article when the headline lets me get outraged?

I swear Arsenal fans invent a new foul in the game that should have been a clear red in each thread.

Fingers crossed this means he's fine and Howe was just playing some mind games.

Usually, I'd be with you, but this time I'm thrilled. He desperately needs a break, looked wrecked against Dortmund.

Praying that Trippier and Wilson play zero minutes. Both have been run into the ground the last few months, and need a break.

So the panel judged the club that was screwed over by the refs at the weekend was Newcastle. The goal was correct and Bruno's red card was a split decision but Havertz's red card was unanimous that he should have been off. This is just too delicious. Got to wonder how much we paid the panel.

Boring anti-football Newcastle scoring just the 20 goals from forwards in 10 matches.

As a Newcastle fan this sucks, but my word if I was neutral I'd be finding this situation absolutely fucking hilarious. Plus, our other "big" summer signing (Harvey Barnes), is injured until 2024. That would just make it funnier, to me.
