I got the same feel. He focuses so much on words like "value" and "gain". It's almost like he's running a generic company in a vacuum, not a platform where people share their thoughts and feelings. Instead of trying to mitigate the core issue (his ego and attitude), he unsuccessfully attempts to convince everybody he's making good business decisions. The dude's pathetic, if anything. Too bad his team doesn't see him doing it wrong either.

As much as the thought may be comforting, it might take a long time for the site to really go to shit, if it will ever. Most likely, not a lot would change

Not the app. Capitalism does

Even if there is no backstabbing, they'll depose all of the admins. Especially those who have lost their interest in moderating... And no pesky popular opinion will stop them from keeping their platform active and fun for everybody...

Kbin Chrome app? (media.kbin.social)

Got proposed to install this on my phone. Can't be sure if it's a new thing. (If it isn't, let me know.) It's not a standalone app, just a Chrome web interface, but still good to keep that separation. The speed of adding new features has been great, all things considered.

As soon as I joined I feel like I have a limited perception of what is going on, so I'd like to keep myself more up to date. Are there any Discord communities for kbin or lemmy? Is there a general fediverse one? Would make things easier to understand.

Yep, I need a big man to explain that all to me. The interface is confusing. No app client. If anything, it all feels raw and uncoordinated
