I don't think the average redditor cares. They will complain about their third-party app going away, but will use the official one and go on with their life.

Sexy pics of John Oliver is better than 90% of the stuff posted there anyways. Glad to see them sticking it to Reddit, though.
Unpopular opinion seeing how much people like AleksiB as a person, but I think he is an overrated IGL. His teams under-perform and he has no notable achievements except for the Cinderella run with ENCE years go.
Reddit proverbially taking their ball and going home lmao
Agreed. I have an account on lemmy.world, but I enjoy the community and interaction with the posts on beehaw. One user made a post saying that the defederation hurt Beehaw more than the other instances, but Beehaw has a lot of strong, active communities that the other instances don't have.
Glad Twitch has a competitor, but I've never heard of Kick. Expecting this to go as well as Mixer
Wow, thank you for this!
I agree. I started off creating an account on lemmy.world because I had no idea what I was doing in the fediverse (still don't lmao). All this drama/defederation between lemmy.world and beehaw.org was annoying because I liked the posts from beehaw.org. Decided to give kbin a shot, which seems to be working well? The UX for lemmy and kbin are honestly gross and is taking a while to get used to.
Reddit is forcing open restricted subs by replacing their mods.
