Western nations also have declining birth rates but they are less xenophobic so immigrants are back stopping the drop.

I feel like it used to be a super far left thing but the spectrum is a horseshoe as I'm sure you know. I also think it comes a bit from the prepper community which tends to be "libertarian"
To be fair(TM) planes are a bit easier. Fewer obstacles up there and typically a lot of things broadcast that they are there. They were landing the Russian space shuttle by computer in the 80s.
