I have no doubt this will be excellent, but its lack of l2, l3 and right analog will limit it to some ps1 and below only. Personally I want an all in one device.

Have you used a plex share? I have virtually everything I want to watch, short of things I'd like to watch live, for around $7 per month. I don't have to set anything up, and since I'm not trying to save files to my computer it's just much much easier to handle. It also passes the non-tech person test. Log in, and it's basically netflix.

I used to use torrents, then usenet with debrid, but the best overall setup in terms of ease of use is definitely the 7 or 8 bucks a month I do with my plex share.
