I've been using a 'Glocusent USB Rechargeable Book Light' that works pretty well for me, it manages to light both sides of larger books without much fiddling and doesn't get in the way as much of the bendy wire ones too

I'm not sure how it compares to the one you are using but I use mine for a few hours at night in bed and only have to recharge it every few weeks

if you need a really long runtime and can't recharge easily maybe just buying multiple is an option?

Yeah, I didn't even notice the button was there since I had the sidebar hidden it was easy enough to right click and remove don't get the big deal it's not even 'on' if you click it you have to set it up

I've always reduced the argument to something like

"I have nothing to hide" ... "well, you don't get a choice"

at the end of the day removing privacy strips autonomy
