๐Ÿ‘ That's an idea..

[โ€“] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

An example: along Highway 20 going west from Williams - one may see a single mountain in the coastal range that has snow. I took several pictures starting near Williams, but as we were just starting to get close enough, the closer mountains started to block the objective mountain.

So I have some pictures with a tiny mountain, and some when I used the e-zoom and have a more frame-filling mountain, but at a lower resolution.

And Yes, I am aware that CSI-Enhance is a fantasy used to uncover evidence in a tv show. AI-hallucinated pixels are fine with me for this, as long as the hallucinated pixels look plausible, and are not entirely made up details.

Sounds exactly what I want. Thanks I will check it out.

That is exactly what I want - I know the original info is lost. I did try using Night Cafe's creative upscale, but it was too creative even on the lowest setting - adding whole new details to the picture that weren't even hinted at.

That is all great info - about how cell phone cameras have better goodies these days.

I have a Canon EOS R50 with the kit lens (RF-S18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM) I also inherited my dad's Canon Digital Rebel with whatever lenses he had.

Too bad you can't post a usage notice that anything scrapped to train an AI will be charged and will owe $some-huge-money, then pepper the site with bogus facts, occasionally ask various AI about the bogus fact and use that to prove scraping and invoice the AI's company.

That's not to say any other OS effort is not also a soap opera. I bet Microsoft has its fair share of drama, too; it's just that no one sees it because the development effort is proprietary.

--some-- free users. unless I have to upgrade - free for a month and then $19.99 a month after that. nope.

Even with experimental it hangs...

[โ€“] [email protected] 1 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Ok, currently, Timberborn will launch but will hang hard after a short time. I used the wrong engine (?) so I will try "Experimental" and report back.

the i7 was originally mean to be a my take away bridge over tailscale when I am away from home, and a programming machine (or perhaps a look up machine while I program on the i5 desktop)

Hi fellow photographers!

  • Do you render your digital pictures on paper (print)?

  • Do you use a printer in the home for it?

  • What printer do you use?

  • What printer would you recommend with cost vs quality in mind? (8.5 x 11 prints would be fine)

  • Do you send your pictures to a commercial printer?

  • Do you goto the nearest Staples or Walmart and use the printers there?

{Solved Thanks}

Would there be any interest? header tags are used to make table of contents, anchor tags create Index entries, all the formatting tags (tables, un-numbered and numbered lists etc) do basic print formatting. All the bold/underline/italic also render to paper. Sort of like a poor man's TeX.

Has anyone done this?

First, please let me apologize for my lack of proper vocabulary. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I have a Canon EOS R50 with the stock 18 to 45 lens.

I need a stronger telephoto capability, to take bird pictures, the moon, get that lone oak tree out in a field etc. There are devices that one can place between the lens and the body to <>, right? Would it be better to get one of these or to buy another whole lens? I am assuming the adapter would be less expensive. Money is a factor. (isn't it always?)

The is it just me says it's up but what I get is the input box but no other design elements show up. I can type in the input box but I can't submit it. It has been like this since 9/20 in the morning. I have cleared my browser cache.

  1. for Konsole
  2. for use in LibreOffice

The original font was called Albertus

I recently added an external monitor to my Debian 12 laptop, setting it as the primary display while using the laptop's monitor as secondary. However, I'm experiencing an issue where the external monitor randomly goes black, while the laptop screen continues to display normally. Moving the mouse brings the external monitor back to life. Interestingly, this happens while YouTube is running, with the audio playing uninterrupted. So far, I haven't noticed this behavior with any other applications.

Update: I was running YouTube from within the Firefox browser, not a YouTube app (If one even exists)

(Solved) I would like a small laptop to use to log medical data (Weight, Blood Pressure, etc) as I gather it. I need it to be small like 10'. it can be low power because I will probably use it only CLI, no GUI, but I need it to be inexpensive. ARM-based is ok, as long as I can SSH into my desktop machine.

If so, do you remember how to start the editor on a specific line number?

I triggered an update via Discover, and I think I clicked the [x] (close) title bar button a little too quickly. Would that have stopped the update in mid update or does Discover do the update in a subprocess that continues even if Discover is closed?

What if, instead of sending you into the past, weeping angels sent you into your future? Say the 'harvest' a 20 year old and send them into the future where they are 80 years old - the angel gets the energy of the 60 years.

Google Maps is changing and will keep drive log data on the phone. I like to go on photo-drives following roads to find "Kodak moments", I also would like a map of my random rambles. I would prefer that the data for that map be locally collected on my phone but the map itself uploadable to my laptop. Does anyone have an App for that?

Canon EOS R50: Does the camera have GPS and can it record the location pictures were taken? I have GPS in my phone can the camera use that? I see the camera has WiFi - so does the phone perhaps that can transfer the location at the time a picture is taken.
