My expectation is that Russia will take more territory. It's highly likely they will want to take Kharkov, Odessa, and Dnepropetrovsk at the very least. There is very little the US can do about that at this point. Whether Trump understands this or not is a different question though. What might happen is that Trump will float his deal, then Russia will reject it and he'll just quietly pull aid from Ukraine at which point the problem will solve itself so to speak.

Similar trend in the US as well, it's also worth noting that the US traditionally is heavily reliant on immigration to supplement lack of good publicly accessible education. The states effectively outsource the cost to other countries, and then poach talent. If this pipeline stops then the states will be in trouble technologically.
It's pretty straight forward, the US is blocking the appointment to paralyze WTO which makes it impossible to resolve many cases that have piled up against them.
