I read this whole book thinking Alaistar Reynolds was Peter Hamilton. Don't ask me why they just in my mind merged into the same person for some reason. (And as I read it, I thought it was much faster paced than his other stuff. )

I thought this was a great book. Then I was checking Reynolds wikipedia (that's when I realised he was a completely different guy) and i recall the title "revelation space" I attempted to read it once but many years ago and never got into it. Now I'm thinking of giving it another try.

I was surprised there was only one other short story set in the House of Suns universe. It is such a well crafted timeline I think it deserves more books!

We missed out on Sedoff, Grubbe went to Edmonton and King to Van. Kai is slated to go right around our 5th pick. Kid scored 50 goals this year. Overshadowed obviously by Bedard but he knows where to be around the net and was clutch on the power play this year. He's only had the one huge year which is probably why he's projected so late but I'd love to see him get a chance to develop here.

This was my 5th flight during the day and all of a sudden it just dropped out of the sky. Heading out to the lake tonight to try and find this thing

Maybe the biggest question heading into the NHL Draft next week is this: Which team is headed for more roster turnover, the Jets or Flames?

Previously I posted on here about an issue with my Varla Pegasus rear rotor. Ordered a new rotor, replaced it, good as new. Took it out for a ride, and the front tire started making a rattling noise.

Realized it was the metal piece that holds the brake in place, looked like the screws were loose. Took it home, removed the front wheel, went to tighten the screws, and the head of one of the screws fell out.

The screw broke and the rest of it is lodged inside the metal. I have no idea what to do at this point. And advice would be much appreciated. I just want to ride my scooter. 🥲

I was set on the Osprey from Yume, but something told me to look at the available choices again. I went to Minimotors and saw a big sale on this monster... (Maybe a psychological ploy, but it worked). The rest was history.

I was a bit hesitant on the Osprey because the weight limit went down even though it's still just the M11, but the FS says plain as day 330 lbs. And I'm 6'5" 300 lbs so that was one box checked.

Anyhow, shakedown cruise complete. This is my first scooter, I have a Begode RS that I never really mastered cause I'm old and apparently more clumsy than I thought. I will say the torque the FS can deliver at 20mph when you put it on level 3, 4 or 5 is surprising. Really surprising. Luckily I watched plenty of videos and was on the kickplate, cause flat footed I think I would have been thrown.
