Yeah, many workplaces here do not offer a laptop, its more of "bring your own device" kinda thing.
But of course, some do.
And yet here I am looking to expanding my devices with a replacement server (linux) and a NUC (linux).
Finally ditched Windows on the desktop forever, about 7 months ago.
I agree with you on mobile. I my country many ppl ditched laptops and desktops for their phones.
Although I have a hard time understanding how they can actually get some work done on the phone, if they do any work from home that requires a computer. Well those ppl probably have an old laptop laying around.

Immich always breaks for me. Even on fixed version its a hassle. Tried it maybe 4 times during intervalls, hoping that some consistency would be implemented, but never seems to go out of alpha versions of trying out a completely different configuration..

At least there are platforms like Lemmy, where people (most of the time) share knowledge in an "anonymous" environment, which is actually brilliant for passing on information to the next man, without the toxication and promotion of suicidal tendencies.

Flatpak for Desktops/Laptops.
Although I currently run my Docker stack on my desktop because my NAS server broke down. But its on servers Docker really shines.
I have to say Supersonic.
It's a Subsonic player that integrate with my Airsonic instance in Docker.
It requires a backend like Airsonic, Navidrome etc. It's not a stand alone player.
