Best modpack that you can play for years.

I like everything, all the styles, so don’t think about it. Well maybe I am not the best player at expert modpacks but if I am going to play it for a long time I will end up being good (?) so hit me with whatever.

So what I love is building ... a lot. A town. Several towns, a big metropolitan area.

Build tall, building wide. Random things. Not even beautiful builds, just lots of different stuff littering the world, densely.

That's so satisfying to me, it scratches my itch to ... collect, and another itch to build to progress to create, and several other itches.

And yet Minecraft doesn't allow you to take this to the next level.

You can't fill this world with life. You can't fill it with NPCs driving cars and walking around like in GTA, you can't fill the stores and businesses with NPCs, it's just a dead world full of sculptures.

I swear if anybody ever makes a game that's like a combination of Minecraft and GTA they'll have created another wonder of mankind.

I'm looking for a Java developer who's able to fix an issue with this mod:

It's a fork of ReplayMod made for 1.16.5. There is a bug inside this where occasionally the client will fall through water as if it didn't exist, not be able to climb vines, and not be able to climb ladders in-game. It's not all the time, and sometimes it's fixed by relogging. This issue persists in both singleplayer and multiplayer.

I create Minecraft content for YouTube, so this mod is extremely useful to me if fixed. If you can fix this issue 100%, I am willing to pay you USD$250. I will not pay for unsuccessful attempts to fix it. This would be first come first serve.

For like a month I was fantasizing about playing some really really slow modpacks. Even contemplating Gregtech or terrafirmacraft.

And when I finally started playing one, I kid you not, not 20 minutes into Sevtech Ages and I quit lmao, uninstalled it.

It's so weird! I love the idea of immersing myself, taking things slowly, playing a world for hundreds if not thousands of hours. And yet at the first sign of needing to take it slower than vanilla boom I'm gone xD.

I've been on 1.12 for ages, and I'd love to see something new and exciting from a modded perspective. Sadly, the only mods I've found post 1.12 that are full fledged and actually NEW are Create, Ars Nouveau, and Occultism (oh and I think Hexerei, but I haven't actually played with it).

Has there really been no new, big mods made past 1.12? To clarify, I mean they weren't originally made for 1.12 or earlier. And they're big (new mechanics, dimensions, creative design). I went and sorted curseforge mods by version (tried using 1.18 and 1.20) and sorted by popularity, and got 15 pages of libraries and one trick pony mods.

Has anything new been created for 1.18 or 1.20 that's on the level of Betweenlands? Or Thaumcraft? Ancient Warfare? Twilight Forest? Astral Sorcery? Embers? Roots? Dimensional Doors? Misty World? I realize some of these are being updated, but I was hoping for something new.

I have to say, I absolutely love the changes that have come to vanilla minecraft over the last 5 years (since 1.12's release). I thought there would be more (big) mods by this point.

Someone tell me I'm crazy and point me in the right direction!
