I currently have a RZ3100 running 7.2.4 and thinking of moving to either the Cinema50 or X3800H for the Dirac, earc and HDMI 2.1 ports.

Has anyone upgraded between them? And was the overall sound results better (with Dirac). Contemplating if I should be looking at higher tier devices if it might sound worse than my current setup.

I’m thinking of getting a 98” LED tv, but expect to sell it in a few years or so, when similar size OLEDs are affordable. But some YouTubers have implied it’s hard to get rid of huge, used TVs.

Maybe it’s a dumb concern, but just wondering if that’s true and something to worry about.

Hello, I want to buy a projector I can use for projecting movies on my wall from my MacBook Pro, let’s say 55+ inches plus/minus, either wired or wireless, where the sound will be routed to a pair of HomePods, and that can mount on a camera tripod.

I’m looking for something durable, minimalist, and preferably cool-running (LED?). I don’t need any capabilities in the projector besides easy interface with the MBP and durability (eg no streaming service, built-in speakers, etc).

It’s been 5+ years since I bought a projector and don’t the know the brands or anything, are there any go-to recommendations for something like this? Buying from the US. Thanks!

Tl;Dr Surround Processing disappeared but came back after rerunning Auto Set Up Room Correction. Is that a thing?

Just wanted to share. I use a 2007? Yamaha AVR for the FR set up. It's just a 2.1, but we run "Surround Enhanced" because my wife says it helps on dialogue. Long story short, one day after a power outage, the Surround processing no longer worked. We could get stereo, which is fine fro the 2.1 of course. But actually I was looking for an excuse to upgrade. But being prudent, I tried a power cycle and a factory reset. Still no Surround Processing - as in when on Dolby etc the front speakers only played the surround content, but the vocals were way low. So I slept on it and then decided (after confirming some friend at work had no use for it) that I'd keep it for now and use Stereo. So then I needed to re run the Auto Room Correction since we factory reset. Guess what? That fixed the problem. Back to new. Yay, no upgrade.

ETA: Thinking about it, it's as of the AVR just got "re-configured" by the power outage glitch and thought I had a center channel. That would explain the muted sound during Surround modes and also why it fixes itself after a new Auto Setup process. Ahhhh.

Hi, I am confused between buying a HTIB such as this or purchasing 4 bookshelf speakers and center speaker. I want to hear the lows too and not just the boom. My room is 10ft x 16 ft. an

Which one would be better ? Would an HTIB make more sense for the small room size?

Hi everyone! I've found a pair of these in really good shape for $125. Currently I have a Yamaha HTR-4066 receiver, 2x JBL ES30's and a Dayton Audio Sub-1200. So 2 questions:

  1. Are these speakers worth the price?
  2. These would work with my receiver and current setup?

I recently purchased a home theater system and am wondering if it is functionality the same to just use the HDMI ports on the TV instead of running everything through the receiver. The only reason I want to do this is that I like to have different picture settings for cable tv vs streaming stuff. I can customize a default for each HDMI port while if I run everything through the receiver it all is connected to HDMI port 3. I can obviously have different sub customizations for on each HDMI port but for the sake of simplicity I'd like to just have it set and never need to change it really. TV is a 77 inch a80j and the receiver is an onkyo tx-nr6050

Is the a good receiver for under $500 and now on sale at $379? $170 more for S670H. For my 65 LGC3 and an older set of 5.1 Onykos. Casual user but like to turn up the music on YouTube.

I have a denon s760h kef q750 towers and q650c center q150 rear and svs pb 2000 pro recently found out about the audysey multiEq editor app for 20$ and learned just a bit about mid range compensation and that it should probably be turned off is it worth it for my setup? Will it improve audio/dialogue there are rare occasions where dialogue is hard to understand but 95% of the time it’s great so just want opinion of others I have treated the room with diy sound absorption panels

Looking for some advice on replacing my Logitech Harmony remote. First, my current setup is: a Sony DN1080 with an AppleTV 4k (SAT/CATV), PS5 (GAME), Sony UPB-X700 4k Bluray player (BD/DVD), and Nintendo Switch (VIDEO1) as the inputs, and output to a Sony 75X900H TV (TV Input 3 for Arc). I’ve been using my Harmony remote to control everything, but really I use it for a single-button config for whatever device I’m using (to automatically select the input). My problem is that whenever a Harmony activity gets interrupted (ie kids hitting too many buttons), everything gets gummed up. Not to mention it’s nearly impossible to control specific devices (ie just the AVR or just the TV).

So my question: what’s the best way I can control my setup? Preferably a single remote to turn the tv on, select the AVR input, turn on the AppleTV or BD Player, and control their functions? Is there a way to do it with the remote that came with the DN1080 (a RMT-AA320U)? With Logitech abandoning the Harmony system, it seems like all universal remotes are going the app route, but having kids that don’t have phones, I’d still need a physical remote. Any advice would be most appreciated!

I received both a Crosley CR8017A (Yes I know there are better options - I don't want to hear about it), and a Denon AVR-S510BT. I thought what I wanted to do was simple, however I cannot figure it out for the life of me. I want to be able to play sound from the Crosley through the AVR.

I have the Crosley connected from the Component out to the "Media Player" component in on the Denon using RCA cables. I disabled optical on the Media Player, and am forcing the Denon to play analog audio on the Media Player input.

The Crosley is still happily playing music through its internal speaker, while the Denon is either not receiving a signal at all, or choosing to ignore it.

Hi All,

Ive recently purchased a HiSENSE 5.1ch Dolby Atmos 340W Soundbar.

However ive just discovered that my TV (HiSENSE 65N5) does not support Dolby Atmos thus im unable to stream movies in Dolby Atmos utilising my Playstation 5.

Ive currently got my PS5 connected to the TV to a HDMI port and my Soundbar connected to the ARC port of the TV. This is only allowing 5.1 HD sound to occur.

Is there a way to bypass the TV so the soundbar is receiving the audio directly from the PS5? or is there something im doing thats wrong?
