Hello everyone
I am currently building my TV cabinet and am finally looking into a surround sound system. I currently have a stereo sound system which has great sound but I finally have the opportunity to get an even better sound experience. And as I am building the cabinet myself, I want to consider the space for the AVR into the planning
Existing equipment
I have currently have two main speakers which are connected with an XLR cable to my mixer. The mixer gets input from a vinyl player, an AUX cord for the phone and it used to be directly connected to the monitor to get the audio from the game consoles. I got two speakers from my sibling for which they have no use. I want to mount them behind the couch on the wall. I also recently upgraded my TV from a monitor to a smart TV. Due to the size of my room and the equipment I already have I think a 4.0 setup might be the most reasonable.
| Device | Company | Model |

| Main speakers | KRK | Rokit 10-3 |
| Secondary speakers | JBL | Control One |

Questions
Which audio receiver would be best suitable for a 4.0 setup?
I have found the Denon AVR-S660H for ~ 300 € and on here the Denon AVR-S570BT and Denon AVR-S760H are suggested. The first two seem more reasonable pricewise as my budget is somewhat limited. I might upgrade to a 5.0 or a 5.1 setup in the future, but the KRKs have a good low range, so I am quite happy with them right now.
How do I connect the surround speakers to the AVR?
Behind my couch I have two ethernet outlets. Can I use them to connect the speakers with audio over ethernet? Or does that only work if they have a direct connection? The JBL Control One only have the traditional speaker wires as input.
I am correct that none of the more budget AVRs have XLR as an output?
Ever since I helped out for a small sound company and had issues with 1/4" connector (buzzing), I am a huge fan of XLR, but none of the AVRs seem to have it. Is that normal right?
I need to connect all consoles, etc. to the AVR and not to the TV, right?
I can't connect the consoles to the TV and then connect the TV sound to the AVR right. If I connect a switch to the TV and then get the sound via eARC to the AVR I would lose some sound quality, correct?
I am very grateful for all the help.
