Hello,

So while watching some YouTube videos and browsing some pages I noticed that the receiver has rs232c and IR in/out ports.

While the decide I bought doesn't.

I'm wondering if it could be a American thing thst these exist? Because most information I found in Europe/UK doesn't seem to have those ports.

The denon website also doesn't mention anything about this.

(I don't plan on using any of those, as I'm sure control can be done over wifi/ethernet but it makes me wonder? What else might be different)

After an extensive due diligence I have narrowed down my prospective projector options to BenQ HT2060 due to the price point and reviews. My other alternative was the Horizon pro 4k but im very disappointed with its contrast ratio.

My question here is that HT2060 is a 1080p projector. Would i be missing out on anything if i go for a non 4k one? I intend to rear mount it and mostly watch movies/TV series but also, at times use it with my PS5. My priority lies with movies as my family would be using it quite often. The distance between projector and screen would be around 14ft and I'm looking for a 130-150" image.

Regarding the sound system, I'm split between the Nakamichi 7.1.4 and Yamaha YHT 5960. I unfortunately have a loft open on both the sides and i cannot cover/soundproof it. I'm also concerned about the concealing the wiring if I go for the Nakamichi as the HDMI needs to run from the projector to soundbar.

Planning to spend around 2k for the entire setup. Any suggestions are appreciated!

I recently got a yamaha rx-v6a and an Epson 3800 with a 2.0 to the projector and a 2.1 Xbox to receiver. I’ve been trying to run a Xbox series s through the receiver into the projector but am having issues. I’ll have the Home Screen on Xbox but when I load into a streaming app or game the picture cuts out and says not supported, I still have the audio. The switch seems to work fine. I’ve ordered a 2.1 for the projector and have done all the updates. I’ve even tried running the Xbox in 1080. Any ideas?

Is anyone aware of a way in which I can have my Denon AVR play the audio only from my PC (HDMI)? It only seems to work when the video signal is also relayed to my television. I would like the option to have the TV off and to be able to game on my monitor with only the sound coming through my stereo if that's possible. Any thoughts/ideas? Thanks.

2024 models announced. Details are scant (“brightest ever!”, “AI!) but as someone with windows and a lamp opposite my screen, the anti-glare tech looks really intriguing.

When I last purchased a TV four years back, I ruled out Samsung because of lack of Dolby Vision; there were simply as-good or better options available at every price point with DV.

With all the praise of their 2023 models, and significantly lower cost than comparable LG/Sony models, I’ve been reevaluating that stance - curious to see reviews roll in.

Hello once again,

So I'm not a technical sound guy so I would like to know if the speakers I would like to purchase will work with my new amplifier?

My new amplifier is a Yamaha RX-V385 rated at 260watts, sorry that's the only info I can provide.

The speakers I am interested in are used but like new, KLIPSCH RP5000F FLOOR STANDING SPEAKERS, I think they are 500 watts each. I know they are quite powerful for my amplifier but if I understand this right, they should still work right?

Im currently running a 5.1 with Elac B6s as my left and right. Having to change my layout I decided to purchase Elac F5.2s because of their smaller footprint(compared to other towers) and price, however I’m now kinda regretting it realizing it has 5.25 woofers. Did I accidentally downgrade myself? Or do the extra woofers make up the difference? Other towers I was considering was the F6.2 and Svs Prime. I will have an Onkyo 6100 driving them.

First can someone help explain the difference between front heights and front Atmos, or are they the same? If possible I am interested in two wall mounted front height speakers giving the illusion of a larger screen and running four Atmos speakers. Answering this question will help me determine the AVR I am looking at.

Currently I have a cheap Denon running 5.1.2 (with two subs). My room is 13.5’ W x 16.5’ L x 7.5’ T. I currently have my Atmos set up for middle and will place another pair for rear Atmos. I am leaning towards either the Denon X4800H or the X6800H with a 2 ch. amp.

So again the reason for the two front height speakers is to have a full sound stage and still have four atmos speakers. Go easy on me, I’m still learning.

I'm currently running a pair of bookshelf speakers and would like to add two Wharfedale SW150 subwoofers to make up for the lack of low end. The purpose of dual subs isn't for bass output, but to get good bass in multiple locations. I don't turn my music up very loud but I would like to hear (and feel, to an extent) all the lower frequencies present in my music, and the plan is to DSP the subs at the MLP to achieve this. The problem is, I live in a ground floor flat with a person living above me. I believe it is a living room right above the room where the subs will be located.

Those who are using a subwoofer, or have made use of a subwoofer in an apartment HT/music system, could you guys please share how loud y'all were able to run your subwoofers without the neighbors being an issue? I understand that it depends on the neighbor and what is considered loud is subjective but I would like to get an idea of whether I will be able to use my system at my preferred volume (which isn't loud by any means) by reading your experiences.

Hi Everyone,

I finally have all the components to my home theatre-- the speakers sound great, but my bass is really lacking a lot of the time. I have imputed my speakers in the the receiver to optimize them but they don't have an option for SVS subs.

I have also tried doing the auto tune via the microphone through the receiver to get better output but still not having a lot of consistency.

I know people have mentioned using a mini dsp, Audyssey, or checking out guides on YT. I am wondering if you believe any of these would be the best fit for my issue or have any other suggestions such as settings on the back of my sub or things I can do in my receiver to improve things.

Set up:

Receiver: Onkyo TX-NR6050

Speakers: Klipsch 8000f II's (2) & Klipsch 404c II

** edit: Sub: SVS PB 1000 (1) -- LFE position, 2 o'clock volume, and 0 phase (dial positions) **

Really appreciate any help/suggestions on this :) thanks in advance!

I have a small space, but I do have a wall about 12x12ft. with nothing on it. I looked at wall paint, a little too pricey for my taste but I'll go for it if the consensus is it's worth it.

Throw will end up being 4-8 ft, if that helps.

Thanks so much

Joe

Hello

I have a Denon S760H: 7.2-channel, 75W per channel

I am installing speakers in two rooms that I want to run independently:

Can I use the single S760H to connect the speakers from the two rooms and still play music in the Living Room while watching TV in the family room?

Also, any recos for a sub-woofer to pair with the TV setup?

thanks!

I'm looking to complete my first listening and movie-watching setup.

I have a Rega RP3, KEF ls50 Meta speaker pair, and a Formovie projector, and I am looking to find an amp/receiver combo to complete the setup. I want to use the speakers for vinyl and movies.

I have an Arcam A5 on order since I Need a preamp/ amp for the Rega Rp3 and was shopping for a receiver to use for the projector/speakers.

Is there an Arcam receiver that can do both? Are there any receivers that are also pre-amps and amplifiers for the vinyl setup?

I'm a newbie, please help me! A bit confused, how should I complete the setup? Any receivers have a pre amp?

-Rega rp3

-power supply NEO PSU MK 2

-Formovie Projector

So i was looking for a pro amplifier for my sundown x18v2 (1500w rms which is underrated) and was thinking about a crown xls bridged in 4 ohms. Which one off the series should i get? The xls1002 can already deliver 1100 watt rms which js more then i will ever use! Whats the point off buying a 1502, 2002 or 2502? Also do you guys recommend this amp or is there a better one for around the samen price?

I have a limited wall space for a projector screen.

My TV is big enough, I just want something that will roll up and go away so that my TV isn't always the focal point of the room.

So, I've got 48" width to work with and can't find anything that will fit - is DIY my only option, here?

Living in London, where space is at a premium. can't put the TV on walls, so I was thinking of a small TV cabinet, as thin as possible, to contain a 40" TV, soundbar, speaker and PS4. The idea would be to wheel it out and hide it somewhere out of sight when we don't use it (we only watch the occasional movie).

Any recommendations would be much appreciated. I love things made out of wood if possible
