Wondering if there is any audio quality differences between the two. The rxv4a is cheaper, and becomes a lot cheaper when you add a wiim mini for streaming. Any opinions would be appreciated :)

Hey I just sold off my Dual PB1KPRO subs. I have $1500 ish to spend. I've had the HSU VTF-15H in my mind for a long time. They are out of stock in the satin black currently so I have some time to think about it.

The room is 17*13 and open to the rest of the house.

What would you spend $1500 ish on for subwoofers?

PSA EV1813M

RYTHMIK FXV15

Anything else?

I have a UB820 connected to an X2700h and then an LG C9. Standard blu-rays work as expected, with the X2700h’s display showing TrueHD during a movie. Streaming boxes also show Atmos on Netflix, Disney+, etc.

However, 4K discs with Atmos refuse to do anything but play “DD+DSur”. I’ve done updates, tried to select an audio track while playing, messed with the “Auto” mode on the receiver, nothing. Anything I’m doing wrong?

I think peoples ability actually fit them into their homes (especially apartments) will be the limitting factor, unless modular TVs take off. I'm thinking probably around 100" for sub $5000 displays.

What do you think?

I have a Samsung Q990C home theater, and I’m encountering an issue with the sound.

When playing video games or watching movies, sounds coming from the left or right sides work correctly, but the rear sounds aren’t audible at all. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem with this model or have any ideas on how to fix it?

I bought my parents a Monoprice THX 8" subwoofer for Christmas, but their old Sony DG510 will only play 2.1 when I watch youtube using the TV's app.

Netflix, Amazon, and all the other streaming services give a digital surround signal, and the receiver will only turn that into 2 channel stereo, or full surround. I want 2.1.

This seems like a very simple ask of a stereo, whether its from 20 years ago or today, but, here I am.

I have a Nvidia Shield TV Pro (bought in 2020) hooked up to a Denon S960H AVR with a Sony XBR-65X950H TV. It's been a great setup until the last 6 months or so when I began to have an issue with streams suddenly cutting out. It usually occurs with services like Netflix, Max, Disney+, rarely with Kodi (used to watch media from a connected external HD). What usually happens is the stream will cut to black and then a little pop up box saying 'HDMI 3' will appear as if the input on the TV has just been changed. This will take a few seconds and then the stream will restart - or more often the streaming service will display its variation of "There's been an error" message with the option to resume the stream. The Shield does NOT appear to turn off.

I suspect this is a Shield issue, as this never occurs when I'm using my 4K blu-ray player or my Switch. Based on my exhaustive searches, I haven't come across this particular issue, but know that others have had problems since the latest software update.

Both the TV and Shield have been updated. I've set the Shield screen saver to the longest time possible, changed the settings to prevent it from sleeping when the TV input changes, disabled IPv6 in Network settings, cleared internal storage and app caches and force quit all apps, turned off IR and HDMI-CEC, and rebooted and unplugged the power and HDMI cables. The only thing I haven't tried is enabling "Stay awake" in developer settings or performing a factory reset which I've been trying to avoid.

Has anyone else come across this issue? Is there anything else I can try? Should I be looking at something with the TV rather than Shield? Do I need to buy a new Shield or is this just what I have to live with after the latest update?

I appreciate any advice/guidance!

If I can get an OLED at 120in under $15k I would do that in a heartbeat.
