I have an A95l connected to a Denon AVR using earc. I’m using a HDMI 2.1 certified cable and also have ensured the enhanced settings on the tv are on. I find that the audio is very low or muted and it’s not how the system should sound. When I play anything directly on the AVR it sounds so much better. I played music using airplay and Apple Music from my phone and it sounded so much better than when playing from the tv. Audio pass through is also on for uncompressed signals. Can someone please help me out and also let me know if anyone else has faced something similar.

I'm looking to add a subwoofer to my system. I'm based in europe.

My system at the moment consists of a denon x3800 and 3x kef ls50 for lcr.

The system is located in the living room which is divided into a tv area and an eating area. The tv area is aprox 4mx4m. The total area is 9mx4m.

I've found an online retailed that sells svs stuff and the svs pb 1000(non pro), sb1000 pro, the sb2000(non pro) and the 3000 micro sub (promo) fit the budget

An extra + for the sb1000 pro is the availability for gloss black.

The system will mostly get used for watching tv. Not much music.

Whats the best pick for me? Unfortunately no local retailer sells svs so no listening in advance.

Thanks.

Hey guys can anybody help , I've had a klipsch R-115sw subwoofer for around 4 years. I've noticed it's cutting out whenever I try to drive some power through it ..this used to Shake the room. I can't get it anywhere near that power nowadays without it switching off! . Is it the plate amp failing ..? .. is it possible to wire to an external amplifier ? Any info much appreciated . Thanks .

What are your recommendations for a complete 5.1.2 setup? Is it recommended to buy all speakers seperate or buy something like the teufel ultima set?

Hey ive got a lounge setup where in short the main seating position has to be very close (<0.5ft) from a wall behind it as well as the side walls being relatively close (<2ft)

Questions for those who have tested 7.1 and 5.1 setups in a similar setup

  • in 7.1 do it work with the rears essentially immediately behind you
  • in 5.1 does it work with the side/rears being so close -is 7.1 worth it over 5.1, what does it bring to the table. Is there significant side vs behind seperation in movies? I assume with 5.1 you dnt get that seperation as intended and all those sounds come from whereever you put your 5.1 surrounds

Hopefully this hasn't been asked to death but couldn't find anything specific to the front 3 speakers when is comes to mixing gen 1 and 2.

I'm looking at getting the 504C as my center, I'm just undecided on whether the second generation is worth the price increase. I currently have both the 504C and the 504C II on the way for comparison. The price difference between these $400 and $750. That's quite a jump, so I'm hoping the difference is negligible and I can just go with the 1st generation.

However, when it comes to the 600Ms, the price difference between generations is much closer - $350 and $490. This pricing structure makes me want to go with the 504C (1st gen) and the 600M IIs as my L and R.

So, to recap, I'm essentially set on getting the 504C and 600M x2 - just torn on whether mixing generations between these will result in timbre mismatch issues or if this is generally overblown. Should I go all first generation, all second generation, or would I be okay to mix it up?

Thanks in advance!

Hi, currently have a Samsung old (non smart) TV with the Fostex PMO 4.0n studio monitors plugged in. They each have an amp, their own power button (I leave them on all the time) and a volume knob I don't touch.

I'm happy enough with this, it sounds good, not bass crazy but I also live in a building and don't want to annoy neighbors. Quality balanced sound is more important.

So I guess I have a stereo set up. 2.0 system?

Specs are:

  • HF driver for maximum sound performance
  • High efficient bi-amplifier drive with 18W each for LF and HF drivers

My LG C3 is on its way. I was considering getting the soundbar + woofer SC9S but it seems most people here hate the soundbar and I don't know if I'd get better sound tbh. I've heard a Sonos Beam on its own with the basic app calibration and I was not impressed. I don't know if there are additional calibrations but oof, it was not good.

Now the only issue is controlling the volume via the TV. I currently use chromecast on my non smart tv so I have been able to get away with this as I'm controlling volume through the phone. I don't believe there is a headphone jack. There is an earc HDMI. I'm also a complete noob when it comes to any of these things but learn fast. I'm looking for hopefully

  • cheap
  • non bulky

options to make the studio monitors work with my LG C3 tv so it sounds good and it the volume can be controlled via the TV. Please over explain anything since just listing products may not help me in this case as I'm new to this. Thank you in advance!

I recently learnt about Dragonfly Acousticweave projector screen but I can't find the price anywhere.

Does anyone know how much it costs or estimates?
