I've noticed this on a few videos and I cannot for the life of me figure out what it is - any ideas?

Before they ever announced the Scribedriver I ordered a Bolt Action Pen from Ridge. I actually think I used an LTT code to get it. I recently got the Scribedriver during the Black Friday sale (and a mystery screw driver, but that is not important not... it was Noctua edition).

So, how do the two pens compare?

The Ridge pen is much thicker, like twice the diameter, than the scribedriver. My hands aren't as small as Linus' so I can handle the larger pen size, however I do prefer thinner pens. [As an aside, my preferred pen is a A.T. Cross Century Classic].

When both pens are on the table with their clips up, the bolt for Ridge is on the left side when looking from the top down to the tip, while it is on the right side on the scribedriver. I like the clip facing up and I am righthanded, so I prefer the Ridge in this case, but I make it work.

The action of Ridge is shaped like a checkmark where the scribedriver is J-shaped. This has little impact on the usability of the pens, though the scribedriver requires less effort to move the action.

The scribedriver has more weight to it, so it feels good in the hand, which the Ridge is lighter for its size.

They use the same refills and both come with Schmidt Easy Flow 9000 M. I don't like medium tip pens, I prefer fine tip. I replaced the refill in the Ridge pen with another Schmidt refill in Fine. I did try it in the scribedriver and it works well.

I like the scribedriver better because it does not feel like I am using a Crayola marker from grade school. Both are nice pens, but I think the scribedriver edges out the Ridge pen. I did not mention the knurling, which both have, but the scribedriver is much better in that aspect.

Both Luke and Linus have campaigned for this on various episodes of WAN show. Americans should look into his story, he's a Canadian hero

Just watched the latest video and he shows an amazon listing of the 7800x3d for almost $500, at first this post was going to be asking why are US prices so high but then I checked pcpartpicker and its the same here in the UK too now. I was part shopping last December and they were listed for £300. WTF happened?
