Chiefs fall to 7-3. They are passed by the Ravens who are 8-3.

Tim Boyles stats from his first 3 years at UConn: 25 games, 1,237 passing yards, 48% completion percentage (wtf???), 1 whole touchdown (wtf??????), 13 interceptions

This is legitimately one of the worst 3 year stat lines I’ve ever seen. But let’s give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe there was a bad situation at UConn. Maybe it was a coaching problem or the team was just THAT horrible. Well here are his stats from his one season after he transferred to Eastern Kentucky (an FCS school FYI): 12 games, 2,134 yards, 11 touchdowns, 13 interceptions, 61.5 % completion percentage.

Better, but the competition dropped going from an FBS school to an FCS school. So the question is HOW THE HELL did this guy end up with a job in the NFL?? And not only that, but get multiple jobs on multiple different teams. Is there something going on here? Something I’m missing in this story? No wonder the Jets were so hesitant to put this guy in. Now watch him torch the Dolphins on Friday lol

Damar Hamlin is considered a lock for comeback player of the year, and deservedly so- it’s amazing he’s still playing football after what happened to him. But I understand the critics too, when he does play he’s a backup and the whole thing feels kinda weird. I think the easy way to fix this is to make it two different awards. One for most improved player and another for coming back from injury. CBPOTY can be either right now and I think that’s where the issue comes from. This way someone like Josh Dobbs could win an award for most improved, and Damar Hamlin gets an award for an impressive comeback for an injury.

Was Tom brady good or did he decline I didn’t watch the Bucs so did age get the better of Brady or was it the Bucs team that made him decline. Brady numbers last year were still good. Do you think 2022 brady was good enough to lead a team to a championship or not?

As much as I hated to see Mark Andrews go down, I can’t imagine this panning out well.

In the Lions game yesterday, the safety at the end of the game happens after a Bears player kicks the ball from the 3 yard line into the back of the end zone. I know that because of the famous Raiders Holy Roller game that the offense can't advance a fumble with a kick but does that also apply to the defense? Should the Lions have gotten the ball at the 3 on offense?

All Chargers fans are calling for Staley to be fired. Not a single Charger fan wants to keep Staley. (Haha no fans, yeah yeah) Staley's defense is awful for 3 years straight!!! Yet Ian thinks its not the defense!! "Brandon's defense has been fine" and to make things worse "He is one of the better defensive coaches in the league" and as he is saying it its shows a stat most passing yards allowed in the NFL. Why is he saying this?! Is there some kind of trick to journalism here? Sincerely do not understand what he is saying???

Bernie Kosar was the Browns QB, Marty Schottenheimer was their HC, Earnest Byner was their leading rusher, and Reggie Langhorne was their leading receiver.

The Steelers were led by Bubby Brister at QB, Chuck Noll at HC, Merril Hoge (yep, that guy) at FB, with Troy Johnson as their leading receiver.

It was a rainy day, but the Browns prevailed behind a great all-around defensive and special teams effort, with 6 sacks from the likes of Michael Dean "Little Fridge" Perry and Clay Matthews.

Highlights from the game

Full game stats

The Browns would win 27-7 to improve to 7-5 on the season, and the Steelers falling to 2-10. Chuck Noll would famously lose the locker room that season as the Steelers finished 5-11 (1 of only 3 losing seasons they've had since '88). The Browns would finish 10-6, good enough for the wild card. However, the Browns were without Kosar, and Mike Pagel wasn't enough to beat Warren Moon, Jerry Glanville, and the Oilers.

This has to be one of the bigger head scratching stats I have seen in a while. I was looking at the Jets Bills box score and the QBR numbers caught my eye.

Tim Boyle 7/14 33yds 0TD 1INT 1 Sack 1rush attempt for 1 yard QBR 50.2

50% completion, NFL avg 64.9%

2.4 yard/attempt average, the NFL avg is 7.0

4.7 yards per completion, NFL average is 10.8

So I decided to grab every QBR rating for Sunday(and Passer Rating to keep us all grounded in reality).

That legendary Tim Boyle performance you witnessed, according to QBR, was the 13th best qb performance on Sunday.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/boxscore/_/gameId/401547543

QBR loves Tim Boyle

Tim Boyle for Joe Burrow? Let me think about it

Tim Boyle for Josh Allen? Maybe if you throw in a 3rd round pick.

Tim Boyle for C.J. Stroud? C.J. Stround and who else?

Tim Boyle for Tua Tagovailoa? If you toss in a 1st rounder we can talk.

Tim Boyle for Russell Wilson? Hang up the phone scoffing at the unmitigated gall for even calling me.

Whew, thank you QBR for keeping me from looking like a complete idiot as a NFL GM.
