Would love to see some Will Grier. Huge game, one Will Grier pick six could be the difference between Joe Alt and Drake Maye. We'll see if that 80% of the locker room being out on Mac report is true. That would probably force them to start someone else even if they all are bad.

Which brings up an important point- that Bill never got Mac a serious veteran backup
It was really dumb going into the season with Bailey Zappe as the backup to a struggling young QB.
Where is the veteran leadership and mentorship in that QB room? Not that Andy Dalton would have turned Mac and Zappe into franchise QBs, but young players need mentorship sometimes. They need guys that can help them both on and off the field.
I dont even want to imagine what tape study sessions are like with 2 young, struggling, frustrated QBs that cant help each other and are facing the end of their NFL careers together.

mac may have more talent but his mechanics and brain are broken. Zappe at least isnt sped up and throwing what should be a TD 10 yards short to a defender.

I can't wait for week 17 when we get to see the first wildcat only game. The NFL will have outlawed QBs just for this one game in order to have something that might resemble entertainment take the field.
