We'd be a dominant d line for years to come if we draft Newton. High motor stud that can play consecutive snaps. Struggles on double teams but they can't double him here if Maxx is next to him

It'll improve Maxx's ability to pass rush and Tyree would have a fellow young d lineman to grow and progress with

Curious what people think of Newton and what the odds are he'd fall to us in the 2nd? ... or do you think he's deserving of a 1st?

Shaq just got cut by the Colts. Could be a huge addition to the already solid playing LB unit. We’re 14th on waiver priority and his contract burden is pretty hefty.

It goes without saying how well our defense has stood up the last month. I really hope we can keep a core group of them for at least a couple seasons. But ultimately the only difference between this squad and the past many teams is that the defense is so tough.

Offensively we’re still finding our way, particularly but not solely because of our rookie QB. The offense today still shows at or near the start of the game, disappears for 2-2 1/2 quarters, then makes a late-game appearance or two the same as it did most games under Carr. And it still seems disjointed and lost as if there’s no underlying offensive philosophy.

A lot of this was because of our past penalty fetish, which flared up Sunday, and our general lack of successes on first down. But it’s consistent through personnel and coaching changes so probably the only fix is “have more success on first down.” So yeah, guys, start doing that…

Anyway, Sunday was a chance at a big upset. It didn’t happen due to penalties and offensive inertia (KC has 11 three-and-outs this year, we had six in a row on Sunday). But nothing overall has changed. This is the same 7-10 to 10-7 team that started the season and they’ve improve by subtraction and maybe around the edges. For instance, it’d be helpful if Jones can assume the tackling duties Peters nopes out of. But having a locker room that players want to be in is a great foundation to build upon… if we can keep it.

Adams is a great player and seems to be a stand up dude. Having said that, I think we should trade him this off season. He is later in his career and should be playing in meaningful games on a contender. I think he got really screwed by the last regime. One of the main reasons he came to Vegas was to play with his friend Carr. I'm sure he thought Carr would be his QB for the remainder of his career, only to watch McDaniels cut ties with Carr as soon as he could. This isn't what DeVante signed up for. Given where the Raiders are as a team and where Adams is in his career trading him to a desired location if possible would be mutually beneficial.

I do it in Madden. You do it in Madden. We’d do it if we got the real job to whatever extent we’d be able. The problem with the Raiders, though, is we’ve changed head coaches every 2.6 years since 1960.

We are pretty much in constant rebuild for chunks of years at a time.

Why are we in this fervent denial that we aren’t in a rebuild and that we don’t need a rebuild?

Kelce and the queefs should’ve focused on football rather than film 600 commercials.

I didn't get to see all of the game yesterday, but from what I saw this kid played pretty well after Epps went out with a stinger. (After barely playing earlier in the season, he was in on 77% of the defensive reps yesterday) One of the few guys I noticed wrap-up tackling, and had the pick as well. Good to see it from our UDFA from last year.

Source thought this was a great shot. If you don’t already give this person a follow, they always have some good shots of practice/games.

As of right now, the Raiders would pick 14th overall.

The biggest needs as I see it would be RT, CB, DT, and QB being a maybe.

In this scenario, let's assume that major FA re-signing happen.

The big names for each position are:

RT:

Amarius Mims, Georgia

Taliese Fuaga, Oregon State

CB:

Kool-Aid McKinstry, Alabama

Nate Wiggins, Clemson

Cooper DeJean, Iowa

Kalen King, Penn State

DT:

Jer'Zhan Newton, Illinois

QB, assuming Caleb Williams and Drake Maye go top 5:

Michael Penix Jr, Washington

Bo Nix, Oregon

Jayden Daniels, LSU

JJ McCarthy, Michigan

Quinn Ewers, Texas

Who is on your wishlist for the each position?
Why?

Is there anything I may have missed?

Are there any MUST pick players that may fall to us at 14?
