Finally got the SNES set up and I'm playing Super Castlevania 4 for the first time and holy moly it's fantastic. I'm having a way easier time getting into it than DKC 2 which came as a surprise. The movement and combat feel super tight and I love that you can moonwalk up and down stairs

Unusually, R: Racing came bundled with a bonus game (which was my main reason for buying it.) “Pac Man Vs.” is a 2003 multiplayer maze game developed & published by #Namco which makes use of the link cable connecting the #GameCube & a #GameBoyAdvance.

I suddenly had a flashback: the time when, as a child, I dreamed of creating video games. Then I bought the S.E.U.C.K. and realized that with my drawing skills, I could at best create some text-based games.
Which I did, but only for a short time.
Now I’m curious. At my parents' house, I still have a C64 (which doesn’t work), a 1541, a Datassette, and many tapes and floppy disks from that era (<1991).

I wonder…

💾NEW PODCAST!💾 Back when we started out in 2017, one of our earliest members @[email protected] (being a keen cricket fan) asked "are there any cricket games for DOS?".

It turns out: there are! Lots of them, in fact.

We dove into the wacky world of DOS cricket and explored what's there.

Don't know how cricket even works? No worries, neither do we!

This morning, my playlist unexpectedly started playing a melody. I froze. Suddenly, without warning, I was that kid again - on that warm summer night, staring in disbelief at the screen of my Amiga as a Caribbean island appeared and the music began. That music.

The warm air drifted in through the open window, the game box lay open on the closed lid of the record player, and as the images came to life, the poetry of that island, its music, and its atmosphere felt truly real. A box, a few floppy disks, an Amiga, and a boy dreaming. Almost 34 years have passed since that day, yet it remains one of my clearest memories.

It’s clear because The Secret of Monkey Island wasn’t just a game - it was a dream, a promise my parents made if I achieved certain goals, goals I worked hard to reach. It was a moment of joy, of triumph, of deep satisfaction - one of those rare moments in life.

And now, almost 34 years later, those same notes still bring me the exact same emotions.

For this #ThankYouTuesday, I want to express my gratitude to everyone who dedicates themselves to creating something capable of stirring such powerful feelings.

This time, my thanks go to @[email protected]
