This poorly designed table on the AWS website appears to show that neither tier of their new AI agent "Q" offers "Peace of Mind".

Maybe the table was designed by AI, too? "PRICE", "FEATURES" and "PEACE OF MIND" are supposed to be understood as section headers, but the design doesn't work because they didn't also put "price" on its own row and they pointlessly used alternate-row background colors. They could have used background cell colors to communicate which rows were section headers.

Anyone else in IT, or I guess other fields since windows is so widespread, experience a bug on the Outlook app where a jpeg logo in someone's signature has been altered to a similar photo?

Today I had a client show me an email on his phone, he sent it, it displayed a logo for another real estate company, but not his. This was only visible on the app, not on his PC, and anyone else receiving the email saw the correct photo.

Solution was to uninstall the app (and delete it's data) and reinstall it.

What I think happened is some kind of AI spillage. It's the only thing that makes any sense, especially because of the similarity between the photos, both being real estate companies. Another person within this same company has the bug too, same way, but a separate photo of yet another real estate company. It's also worth noting that the link that sits under the photo was still correctly linking to the correct company although it showed another companies logo.

Anyone else have an explanation of what it could be?

This very well could be proof that they do in fact have zero control over what Copilot is referencing/doing in certain scenarios and could be problematic for people that work in law firms, hospitals, security, etc.

This laptop is like 10 years old and belonged to my dad before he gave it to me so I could use it for studies (I have a different gaming PC). I hope it just requires an OS reinstall...

Zillow's "Rent Zestimate" feature tries to chart how much it thinks you could charge in rent per month over time, but then slaps on the value of the house sale, which is several orders of magnitude greater and throws the scaling all out of whack. On a scale of "0 to the price of a house", you can charge approximately $0 per month in rent.

Woke up this morning to my work calendar app** with an "updated" UI.

A few months ago, they reverted a change that had made event names totally unreadable on mobile. Apparently, people complained that event names still weren't readable, so instead of implementing different view options (monthly, weekly, etc), it appears that their UX/UI team hit the crack pipe and decided to axe the month view altogether for mobile users.

No thanks, I don't want to "scroll in any direction across the calendar to view [my] events", I want to see what I have coming up later this week and for the next few weeks at a glance.

**I scrubbed the logo because this is (presumably) a small company with a specialized product for the industry I'm in. I scrolled back to December for the screenshot so as to not doxx myself with events from my work schedule.

Edit: The excellent help desk person passed along my complaint and sent word that they put in a toggle to allow for the full, 7-week calendar view. They got it fixed within a day!

After it started coming online, its language was in Japanese, and the time zone was set to Japan as well. I’m in USA
