He just came out of nowhere, it kinda breaks the canon, and I just kinda feel like he shouldn't really be there. These are just my thoughts, what do you think?

Solar Opposites seems to be the only show that hasn’t received any backlash for having a queer couple. Ik it’s prob cuz the show is for adults and they’re aliens, but it’s nice for a change. Many shows with gay couples will often censor or mistranslate the original dialogue to censor lgbtq+ themes. Has this happened with Solar? Like are Terry and Korvo ever referred to as wife and husband or sum fucked up shit like that?

This thread isn't to flame the show, in fact its to praise it. After seeing this show pop up in my reels for years, I only decided to binge watch it this year and I am glad I did. I'll be straight to the point though,

The biggest problem that I notice people comment about on tv shows about humanity trying to survive is how some of the plots get an ass pull, or a magic thing occur from out of nowhere for convenience. It's hard to put it into words but I can make an example; GOT ending where Arya kills the Night King with a single stab with little to no buildup showing she was the "chosen one", or WD daryl dixon plot armor, or even Lost with its magic light thingamabob ass pull.

Things like this, there's probably more out there but I don't wanna upset anymore fans haha

Anyways, as the title states, this show is one of the few series which get away with that type of narrative, why? Because of how the aliens act as a narrative tool, almost like a "magic wand," but in a way that feels integral to the story's universe rather than a cheap convenience. They serve as a bridge of some sort where in anything can happen with them, we the viewers know that, which means that anything they want, will occur so if they want to lets say out of nowhere revive the dukewell its fine since they just have the capabilities to do it (As shown in previous episodes).

Thats it really, if you liked this 3am thoughts of mine, I have another one regarding solar opposites and how it will redefine cartoon series, or series as a whole.

I'm calling it. Pupa will turn up and revert everyone to normal size. They'll ask what they can do to thank him.

He wants the Harry Potter Whistle.
