I am a Terran player and I think its giga useless. 100 energy to ONE unit every 1 minute?

If it had at least no GLOBAL cooldown at least it would've been much better.

Oh, really? Welcome to StarCraft II, where everything is frustrating to play against if you’re on the losing end!

If you’re balancing around frustration, why stop with Shield Battery Overcharge? Everything about this game frustrates someone! What about a Stimmed bio ball shredding your entire army in less than 5 seconds? Or Mutalisks backstabbing mineral lines makes players question their life choices? Or when an invisible Banshee pop out of nowhere with 17 confirmed drone kills before detection finally kicks in?

Honestly, this feels like one of those lazy design cop-outs. "It’s frustrating, so let’s just remove it!" It’s the balance team equivalent of sweeping dirt under the rug. What’s next? Are we going to delete Fungal Growth because it hurts people’s feelings? Should Storm be rebranded as a “light drizzle” to make Terran bio players feel safer?

And let’s not forget the glorious replacement ability for Shield Battery Overcharge—Energy Overcharge! Wow, so exciting! Instead of preventing your units from dying, you now get to refill their energy! Just what every Protoss player asked for, right? There’s nothing quite like watching your Oracle go from 0 energy to… what, 50? Oh wait, by the time you click it, the Oracle’s probably dead. Enjoy micromanaging your energy bars while your mineral line gets obliterated by a Widow Mine drop. Feels empowering!

Come on guys we have seen toss get eliminated early year after year now. Give them net buffs. With the other two races you can do it too.

Tired of rooting for protoss players when their fate is already decided. End of ro8 or smt

Or a good quote that sort of encapsulates the setting as a whole? Something along the lines of 40K's "In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war."

I wonder how different it would be to have to scout which race you’re playing against and not know the players play style.

I was watching Harstem's video from last month with practice with Clem, and Clem was playing proxy reaper versus him. Maxpax was in the chat.

It seems there isn't a real clear way to defend the initial reaper without losing probes. Even when microing probes Harstem is losing 2+ workers. If you lose more than 2, Clem/Harstem/Maxpax seem to believe the Terran is ahead. A lot of the games Harstem just straight up dies. Obviously, this is versus Clem, so that's a relevant factor in the build's strength, but I think if the Terran plays perfectly this is incredibly strong.

A successful defense to proxy reaper means : Protoss loses at most 2 probes, loses 2 chronos, delayed tech (due to early stalker investment), delayed 2nd gas, investment in zealot, loss of mining time.

It's costly for Terran of course too, due to losing marine production, but Terran gets their tech significantly faster with the build.

This had me thinking, what other openers exist in SC2 where your opponent will always lose workers, even with a perfect defense? I'm not super knowledge on ZvT or non protoss matchups, so was curious.

Let me set a couple ground rules

  1. Not gonna talk about all ins like 12pool drone pull or cannon rush, just a macro opener

  2. Also referring to just the first 4 minutes or so of the game.

Forgive me for yapping about this, but I've been playing cross server on ping against this build and it just feels impossible so just looking for suggestions.

Pressing alt +1 and alt +2 is pretty intuitive since the alt key requires the left thumb.

But since the control and shift buttons require the left pinky, how do you also press the 1 key without resorting to two hands?

I come back to the ranked system after 8 years and i still enjoy it as i enjoyed as kid. The arcade also is really fun to play i spend hours playing nexus wars. Some friends joined to play but the learning curve is high so their apm is so low that i have to strugle a lot on 2v2 games 😂. I hope blizz is actually working on a starcraft 3 soon
