Hello, I'm RedRubyRubicon, also known as Comfromal on the blizzard side of things. For a little preface, the issue I will be referring to is a recent development from several months ago, where uploading on the NA region is rate limited to such an extent that files above roughly 175 MB won't be able to be uploaded regardless of the quality of the connection. Given how there is also a dependency limit (32, including official blizzard depends, so 26 if say, using void campaign), and several people have had issues with running into that issue for trying to update their older mods. Attached is an example from the sc2mapster discord going through it.

I'm trying to find a way to contact/inform blizzard about this issue, and I have tried the forums, a ticket, and their twitter. The first two have been met with effective radio silence, and the third had gotten swallowed by twitter, even though it was directed at their customer support account. I have no clue as to how they could be informed. The closest I could imagine working is having someone else on twitter contact them or someone else who has a blizzard connection about this, as both have gotten results judging from what I have seen. Any alternatives if possible?

Some casters don't rate Dark's mechanics very highly. Botched build orders and supply blocks the norm. Yet, he's an incredible player. So, are his mechanics really that bad?

  1. Are Dark Templar canonically invisible? That is, are they actually invisible when they choose to be? If so, are they fully invisible to where no one can see them (which explains why units can't hit them in-game)? Or do they shimmer like we see them shimmering as the gamer? I understand that in-game they're completely invisible to the units and that we can only see them for balance reasons. But story wise, what's the case? Assuming they can't do any form of invisibility (neither truly invisible nor stealth), are they just really good at hiding and stuff? Like camouflage through shadows and psionics (making you think you're not there, and changing heat signatures to confuse robots)?

  2. Was there a thing where Zeratul taught other Protoss races how to turn invisible? I could have sworn as a kid that I read that Zeratul and Tassadar became buddies and that Zeratul taught Tassadar how to become stealthed. But I don't recall him doing that. Although now that I think about it, Tassadar does turn invisible for a second in Heroes of the Storm, so maybe that is a thing. Does this mean any protoss can learn how to become invisible in canon?

I've wanted to do this for a while, but could never find a way so I thought I'd finally ask. This is just single player as I never played on-line matches.

Found this just clicking around on the EWC website. There may be some interesting things in here, like this:

3.24.3 Clothing

The players need to ensure that they are dressed in orderly long trousers and closed shoes (i.e. shorts or flip-flops are not allowed). Any kind of headwear is forbidden.

RIP solar....

10 year ago (crazy to think about) this insane BO7 WCS final took place between Innovation and Soulkey.

Crazy TvZ, amazing final. If you watched it live back in the day for sure you remember this one. Enjoy!

The final is best of 9. Semis are best of 7. His first match is Coffee. So it's basically a free win. There's also a lot of second chances with this unique format.

I'll start. His odds are 80% to win it all. He's going to at least make the semi final. Where he has the highest chance of losing. Who's going to beat him in the final best of 9 on lan? Only Dark or Reynor.

Long text.

TLDR: Good writing, characters, and story. Protoss pacing felt weird. Can't wait to do Brood War next.

I was doing my yearly playthrough of the SC2 campaigns when I thought maybe I should give the original a try. I heard about the mod Mass Recall and it seemed perfect, got it installed and I binged all 3 campaigns the last 2 days. Here's my thoughts of em:

Terran: It was a nice story, it was nice seeing the Raynor/Kerrigan/Mengsk relationship develope through the missions. And it makes Kerrigan turning Mengsk into a psionic nuke much more satisfying. Also I remember one of the news clippings in WoL where Donny says that Mengsk was different from Raynor because Mengsk didn't start a rebellion while humanity was under attack from 2 alien races, even though that's exactly what he did. Thought that was nicely ironic.

Zerg: The Overmind and Daggoth are awesome, really good written story. Seeing Kerrigan doing a 180 on humanity was nice, I wondered how much of her actual humanity was left but I guess not a lot at all until she gets cleansed in WoL.

Protoss: Zeraful is always great to see. And Tassadar's sacrifice is so fucking awesome. But it was odd that you only fight the Zerg for 2 missions and the rest of the campaign is trying to find Tassadar, then Zeratul, then Tassadar again. Iiked the ending but the pacing felt off. Also a question, was it the conclaves fault that Aiur fell? They seemed to underestimate the Zerg and decided almost starting a civil war during the invasion of their Homeworld was a good idea.

Anyway, can't wait to do Brood War next.

What a missed opportunity this is, gimme a game where I'm playing as a squad of cool marines fighting off protoss and zerg, that would be sweet.

I'm really shocked Blizzard hasn't capitalized on anything with the Starcraft universe like this

I love to play both of SC games and I am not a pvp player. I just like to play by myself and chill. But I played a lot the campaings and it's starting to get repetitive. So, can you fellas say the best mods with extra missions in Sc1 and Sc2 for me to play even more with new stages?

Thanks.
