I've decided to dive into Starcraft 2 because, well, space marines. I have played a little of Iron Harvest and the Total War series. I'm looking for the best and most enjoyable ways to learn the game as a beginner of the genre. Do you have any tips or any advice on how to get my friends on board too.

Hi guys, I have seen a lot of posts about the IIIIIIIIIIII (overmaster#11826) guy who terrorizes the ladder tournaments on NA.

I was a little bit fascinated by this guy so I made my own modest investigation.

Please allow me to report here my very meager results.

I'm pretty sure the guy is from the KR server (not that it matters in any way).

As an indication of this, when he added me briefly as a friend I saw that his announce was in korean. (screenshot : ).

Before him briefly adding me, I already suspected that he was from the kr region, as he was calling expansions "multi" or "double" for second base. (I might be the only one who cares about this, but it's new intel.)

Most of the time, when I met him in tournaments, I got disconnected (drophacked ?) as some people reported here. I am very curious on how he does this, and if it's possible to prevent him from doing it. I have no idea on either.

I got drophacked maybe 5 times against him, and I got to play him 3 times.

I lost the first game, and won the other two.

I started not being drophacked after I blocked him. Not sure if this is correct or not, but blocking him might hinder his ability to get tournament wins against you without playing.

All three times, he went for gaz first double gaz, into proxy battlecruiser, into hidden expansion.

(I also recommend you to send an scv around the map to check for hidden expansions, once you have stabilized against the first two battlecruisers)

His build is very suprising the first time you play against it, since everything arrives so fast.

He bms a lot (pausing during games) which makes my play shaky, but here is a replay that might give you pointers on how you can blind counter him. I'm not even good at the game but it's enough to win.

When you beat him, he always disconnects.

If you can cope with the BM, it's free MMR for a quick 10 min game, I got +40 ish both times I won, and got maybe -5 when I lost. Low risk, high reward, if like me you are more than 400 MMR points below him.

I am around 3900 MMR as of now, I might make it close to master just by farming him in tournaments lol. Please don't report him too much, I need my free MMR. Pretty funny guy.

Not a lot of interesting progress. I wonder if he also makes problems on the KR server too.
