After experiencing how phenomenal Warhammer 40K Space Marine felt and played, and with the new upcoming sequel releasing soon it made me think of how much Blizzard is missing out by not tapping into this area of gameplay/awesome combat route with the Starcraft franchise especially with Terrans.

Imagine a WH40K Space Marine 1&2 style story focused game with the brutality and hard hitting combat but have you play as Jim Raynor going up against the Zerg Hordes, Rebellious terrorists and the Protoss in a three man war in the gameplay.

That would be so damn awesome. 🔥

I’m watching tournaments and stuff on YouTube and she’s like ‘you watching kelpyhead again?’ And it took me a minute before I realized what she was talking about

Aside from listening to me playing it in the background, she has had very limited exposure to starcraft and what it looks like vs what it sounds like. I realized if there was ever any StarCraft image that she might have seen, it must have been the brood war cover art, one of the most famous and mainstream images from StarCraft

On the cover art, kerrigan’s hair might look like kelp at a glance. I also watch Grubby’s streams and she calls him European Ray Romano and I have to admit, the voice is spot on. He sounds like everybody loves Raymond

To clarify: I went for offensive nydus in a 2v2, got attacked at the same time and lost my main including the nydus entrance. My offensive army and drones did some damage but had to retreat due to tanks, and soon the nydus exit was under attack.

It was dumb to retreat into the nydus since it getting killed means I lose every single unit inside. As it went under attack I put down a new nydus canal at my expansion, just seconds before the offensive nydus died.

I assumed the army and drones would be gone since I had no functional nydus entrance or exit. But apparently having a drone morphing into a nydus still counts - it finished, and all my drones and units were still inside.

Seeing as Muta is paired with the Hydralisk as one of the most iconic units for zerg, it's a shame how much they've fallen out of favor.

From a unit that was easily viable in all matchups to one that's been shelved to a niche unit, should it stay that way or do they need a buff to bring them back into the spotlight?

ive been playing though wings of liberty and brood war alot as of recent and at the end of wings of liberty tychus try's to kill kerrigan on mengsks orders. Even without the devil in his ear how is this not justified. She killed millions for the overmind and even after freed of the overmind she still killed and backstabbed even more so than under the influence of the overmind. She slaughtered millions for power.

Now imagine you through yourself under the bus to help your best friend. He goes on to be a hero and your content with your choice, though over time prision hardens your already hard shell. Even after all this time your best friend is still fighting the good fight. A little mad but justified that he never came to get you out. Your offered a deal. You can leave and go help your friend under the condition that you must always wear marine armor and that you owe a favor. Of course you except. You get out and start working your way through the galaxy, collecting bounty's where you can and taking contracts. Then you run into your best friend after all these years, its a bit touchy but still bros. You then help take entire army's, aliens of all shapes and sizes through thick and thin. Then finally after all that effort and after all these years you get to kill a galaxy wide monster that committed crimes you didn't even know were possible. Then the best friend you saved after all this times protects her kills you and runs off leaving you for dead again. The same monster that you watched on the news kill MILLIONS, and many more that were uncounted gets saved because she and your friend had a fling then died in combat.

If i was tychus i would be so angry i would not know what to do with myself. And yes i do know that it dosent show him dying so maybe he got out of there barley alive running but still that same amount of anger would be there because not only did your friend that you saved is helping her regian some power without any punishment but she then regains her crown in the swarm and is right back where you started.

This is my most played game by far. The fact that it spawns waves on a 60 second timer and you can queue up things to be bought means I can check out the battles, place my units, and alt tab to do other stuff for a minute or two.

When I was traveling I would sit in the hotel lobby and play it, it allowed me to chat to people who came in without being bored or disrespectful to them. I made a lot of good connections thanks to it.

I want to boast a bit and make a post about this (yo). I have been trying to get better at this game since the quarantine of March 2020. In 2021 I got Grandmaster for the first time thanks to coaching from ForJumy (and the void ray meta in PvZ). It was a brief period of getting GM, however I could not hold it and finish a season with the GM badge.

After I fell, I just could not get back up to where I was. It didn't feel like I achieved GM and truly deserved it. I had a long pause since I lost the passion for playing because I felt like I was just forever stuck at 4.7-4.8k mmr. I came back eventually because no one ever truly leaves SC2, and really wanted to improve. I had to change my whole mindset.

Since April I have really tried putting in a lot of effort (I played 855 games this season) and copying MaxPax has done me very well. It is a HUGE deal for me to now get my peak all time MMR because it "officially" proves that I am the best version of myself and makes all the effort finally feel worth it.

Now, I truly feel like I deserve the GM border that I have and I wanted to document this occasion with this post. I hope I can continue improving now and get higher on the ladder.

I remember when I posted to reddit when i was diamond, then masters, then 4000 MMR( I didn't make a post about GM because it was start of season, didn't feel like it was true), so now it feels fitting to put this one here since it feels deserved.
