There have been a few big reveals from Uncapped Games and Stormgate. Not too impressed to be honest. I was hoping to see the next big thing to replace StarCraft 2 specifically. Unfortunately, it's becoming increasingly clear that no viable replacement is coming. I'm more excited about SC Evo.

Hey all, long time fan here.

I’ll start by explaining my version of “Tier 1,” so that there’s no confusion about what I mean by it. It’s not to disparage other esports teams

I’ve always considered Tier 1 teams to be the oldest orgs/ also orgs that have support spanning expensive to own/major game/ dozens of titles. Basically, if they have like DotA 2, LoL, CSGO, etc etc rosters. As well as major sponsorships and facilities, etc.

Team Liquid is a prime example of this. EG would be a perfect example of another.

I was disheartened around 2015-2016 (like many might have been) when many tier 1 esports orgs at the time (Fnatic, Dignitas, EG, the Korean teams, etc.) all began to pull out of SC2. It came down to Liquid as being the only real historical tier 1 team left in the game, with the exception of small support like ENCE for Serral and Mousesports for HeroMarine.

Recently though, we’ve seen the likes of Cloud9, Team Vitality, Natus Vincere, etc, return to SC2. And I find this really surprising considering many of these similar orgs having left SC2 the better half of a decade ago…

Anyone have any theories as to why all of a sudden orgs like Cloud9 that are worth like half a billion $ are seemingly interested in SC2? I mean it’s great and I’m enthralled about it, heck I used to wish Cloud9 had a SC2 team when they had CSGO, DotA 2 and Hearthstone rosters. Just curious on your thoughts.

It was weird at first, but I won a game that didn't give me a mmr, appeared as a tie in my match history, and stayed in progress. Curious, I went to his profile, and I saw that the guy ties in nearly every game. The very vast majority of his lost are ties (Guess he sometimes forget to turn on the hack). Linking replay and a screenshot of his profile...

I can understand some tweaking, but removing the early game completely and going into action right away is weird. It removes the sense of match progression. When I watched the Battle Aces match, it felt like 10 minutes of the white noise of action. No buildup, no downtime, no setup, just pure action for 10 minutes.

I know that in the age of tick-tock, everyone thinks that players have no attention span, but LOL and DOTA have long matches and slow starts, and yet they're the most successful non-fps esports on the market.

I'm currently watching a lot of SC1 and saw that almost all terran player go for an all-in on 2 base and like 80% of the time they are worst after.

On SC2 you have a build that make 3 CC quickly on 2 base, why do we never see this on SC1? I feel like it will make them have an easier transition to a macro game and will keep them on par with the other race with workers.

What's the name of the balls that Disruptors shoot? Purification Novas, right?

Nope, they're Purifier Orbs. Purification Nova is the spell that shoots the ball but the ball itself is a Purifier Orb.

Like I said, 100% useless, but I thought it was a funny little trivia because everyone and their dog calls them Purification Novas.

Title. I was late to the party but I am dying to have the Starcrafts plushies. What's the likelihood we could see/push for a re-release of them?
