Tilte's a bit blurry to not spoil but how did Maru got destroyed SO hard ?

I didn't watch SC2 since the last IEMs, where the same thing basically happened, but this time it was like 12, 9, 11 and 10 minutes with 3 out of 4 games being absolutely macro builds from Serral and Maru dying instantly to the first 200 of Serral

How does this happen ? I can see that Serral goes Tier 3 super fast, and had a high worker count super fast too, is that why this is happening ?

Did Maru do too slow macro builds to keep up with the pace ?

I honestly felt like that for exemple, game 2 was macro builds from both players, and all of a sudden Maru is fighting with marines tanks libe against freaking Ultras and dying instantly

So, is Maru's "mistake" to have played too passively and at the same time not greedy enough ?

I'd like to understand how we get to a point where I feel both player played macro and one is getting obliterated without the situation being even remotely close

If anyone has an analysis and can explain to me it'd be awesome ! For what it's worth I was a bit below master when playing so I can understand a bit but I felt like a toddler with 0 comprehension when watching this BO (because I am on the game realistically)

Well congrats to Serral. But here is a crazy statistic. Oliveira has more map wins against Serral in the last 2 offline premier events than EVERYONE else COMBINED. With TWO map wins. Serral lost 3 maps total while winning back to back. Crazy stuff

Azeroth Reborn

Hey, everyone! I'm Synergy, lead developer of the team that's working on Azeroth Reborn, a remake of the original Warcraft III for the StarCraft II engine.

The project features all the quality of life features you'd expect from the SC2 engine, like faster game speeds, better pathing, range indicators, a toggle option for Upkeep, etc.

So far, all of the Reign of Chaos campaigns are available to play (Prologue, Human, Undead, Orc and Night Elf campaigns), completely free even with the F2P version of SC2.

It can be played on the Campaigns section under Custom for free! Look for "Azeroth Reborn".
