Just saw the post with all you guys most memorable pro games and was wondering if there are games of yourself that you still remember after a longer time.

For me it was this:

Couple days after WoL-Release. Literally my first ladder game. Steppes of war. I went like triple Stargate Phoenix off of one base. Killed all of my zerg opponents overlords. He was super supply blocked but could have just run me over with zergking, because I had absolutely nothing but phoenixes.

He writes "cool strategy, this game looks fun. Wanna play another?"

Those were the days. It was all downhill from there.

Edit: Also played against Bombers smurf on EU once and he instantly left the match. I'm literally better than Bomber.

3v3 unranked Ok I admit I'm quite low skilled since I just got out of playing against ai but literally the first match was telling me to kms and team killed my bases. Is normally how the community of these games work or was it just bad luck that this was my first ever match?

As the title says what in your opinion is the most memorable SC2 match FOR YOU! It doesn't have to be the best games, just a memorable match from the past. Did you stay up untill 5am to watch a sick grand final? A random match at an event?

For me it was probably ThorZaIN vs Fruitdealer in TSL3. I had just gotten into Starcraft. Im Swedish so I had heard of the big Swedish players at the time like Jinro, MorroW and Sjow. Thorzain was not on my radar at all, was he really on anyones radar at that time? I remember thinking he was cheating against Fruitdealer since it felt like he scanned every single one of Fruitdealers borrowed banelings. But he was in fact that good. I miss the spoon Terran :(

  1. Each side is allowed their ideal army composition with full upgrades without being attacked until they max out.
  2. Each side would have a realistic economy and amount of production for a standard lategame situation (so that people can't instantly and infinitely remax).
  3. Each side's player has decent but not great micro (no gm-level prism juggling, marine splits, zergling splits to draw mines etc).

I just wanna put this out there for everyone on the ladder.

STOP WINNING AGAINST ME.

The only way I have a good time is if I'm winning. Empathize with this and, therefore, lose against me so I can maintain my self esteem.

If you beat me, you're a cheeser, a hacker, and basically a bad person I will be sending you hatemail, and, no, I will not be considering my contribution to my loss. What am I, trying to get better?

/uj please help me defend against BC, I'm so bad

I saw the Garry Kasparov timeloop post had me thinking how long would it take for someone to beat Serral in a 5 game series

Average man has never played StarCraft 2, but he knows how the game works and knows all the units. Each time he loses, the loop resets and Serral will not remember any of the previous games, but average man will.

Cheating is utterly impossible and average man has no access to outside information. He will not age or die, not go insane, and will play as many times as needed to win.

How many times does he need to play to win a 5 game series and escape the time loop?

Original Title: Not only has Serral been removed from Aligulac due to inactivity, but it seems to have significantly decreased his HoF standing for some reason. From clear first to....42nd. http://aligulac.com/records/hof/

Hi all, few questions here. How does a wraith land? Valkyries I assume have enough space to have landing gear, viking's can VTOL, banshee's are helicopters, but how do wraiths land? How are they even stored?

Also do mutas just stay up forever? Can scourge never stop moving?

For the toss I can understand they have advanced hover technology for phoenix's, or even if they don't, they at least have space for landing gear. WHERE DO YOU PUT THE WRAITH'S LANDING GEAR?

I haven't been able to play these last 2 weeks so i'm kinda late for realizing this.

Last patch, they changed the maps for the first time ever in like 2-3 years. But they introduced some horrible maps back from like 2015 that were really imbalanced, and i made a post about this issue, especially since i didn't know for how long this map pool would stay.

Now they changed the map pool again, and this time around they added more "modern" and balanced maps, at least in my opinion. And i thought since i ranted about a bad change (imo) last time, now imma just gonna make an appreciation post. So well, thanks guys!

As an old head who has played this game at a low level for over a decade, but have a keen appreciation of what works and doesn't work, I have to say that Dynasty LE has quickly become my favorite map of all time. Every aspect of this map requires careful decision-making that seems race dependent to me.

Whether you take the gold as a third or fourth is the first decision. And honestly, I can see an argument is ZvP for never taking it until a fifth.

The rocks in the middle force defensive races to keep them from being destroyed.

The bridge in the middle allows rush play. The low ground battle valleys. The whole thing lays out amazingly.

I am very happy with the direction that the community counsel is taking this game. The balance changes coupled with the map changes gives me a lot of hope for the direction of this game. I personally believe that SC2 has a lot going for it right now, and the state of maps is an interesting twist that I'm looking forward to seeing play out more.

So here is what I did to beat it. This is at the plat level.

Delay my expansion, get a second gateway out, chrono a zealot from one and stalker from the other, keep doing that then eventually you can build only stalkers. I have to watch the replay, but I think I got two zealots and two stalkers out before building only stalkers

Since Maunders shreds stalkers fast, and they need to micro against zealots, they will focus a lot on making sure the zealots cant get to the Marauders, which means building less Marauders and the stalkers can get some hits on the Marauders. It also means focusing less on macro back at their main base.

It's also good to put your units near or on the ramp, but if you do that, that also means they could put up a bunker, so it might still be best to get your units down the ramp.

I am sure you can stop it after fast expanding, I just dont know how and it's a lot harder.
