So I have a relatively solid setup here are the specs and parts

12900k

4090 founders

32gb 6200 mhz ram

the question I have is this, if I setup a loop with three 360mm rads and have it passively cool my setup without fans? or am I a silly goose for thinking this?

I am new to water cooling, I've wanted to do it for a while and going to do my first watercooled PC when i build my next sffpc. Love a challenge and tight spaces so know I am going to be doing soft tubing.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a resource, a calculator, or build guide that would give direction of what kind and how many of spefific types of fittings I should pick up in advance to have the best chance of success without realising I forgot something and having to wait for more parts to arrive?

If no such guide truely exists, thats cool. Here's what I am thinking from watching videos, etc.

At first I am probably only going to be cooling my CPU, but when I can afford a higher end GPU I'll extend the loop to incorporate that.

I know I'll probably need/want atleast 2-4 90 degree fittings. maybe 2 higher quality plugs. 2-4 45 degree fittings? More? A flow sensor, and or temp sensor... But what about fitting extenders, anything special I should look for or think about? I don't mind buying more than I need, but I really don't want to get so much I have lots lying around as dead space, components and wasted money.

Y bought water block try to mount ten times and stil 70C again on ryzen 5 1600af oc 4100mhz 1.35V, before y use air coler lc power 120 and temp is 65 73 on prime 95. How to make better temp And y plan to upgrade to 5900x or wait for 5900xt

It seems like the manifold would be the most complicated part. I envision once that's done, it would just need plumbing from an exterior radiator, go into an an attic (in my case) and I would drop some pipes into the wall and add a larger diameter quick disconnect for hot and cold coming out near the bottom of the rack. Then hoses would go from the walls quick/no spill disconnects to the one on the bottom of the manifold in the rack. (The top end would be capped off; unlike the model in the image). Hot water exits the second manifold, flows out through the wall, attic, then circulates through the radiator. The rest would be the actual (petg/pex?) hoses that allow water to flow into the server. The only part I'm uncertain of is the best spot to place a pump/resorvoir, ideally it would be easy to access but out of the way at the same time.. One thing I'm seeing in mining rig containers are an interior closed loop system which does a heat exchange with an external loop that has a much larger system. I imagine if a radiator is outside on a 110deg day, this might be the only way for this to work? Have any of you guys attempted this before? I'm curious what other approaches have been, if any. Just tired of the room being hot, trying to find the best way for it to remain cool while running some AI rigs.

Hi, I buils my first pc six months ago with alphacool apex d5 pump and everything was running smooth Until suddenly today, my pc just shut down. Then I looked the pump is not spinning, It's making 2 second weird noise like an old cd then no sound.

I have literally done nothing to my computer and im crying right now. I don't even know how to start troubleshoot this :(

I just finished rehousing my water cold PC and it keeps freezing randomly. I have no idea where to start to try and fix it. If someone could help guide me on how to troubleshoot this that would be great.

Im wanting to build a dual 4090 rackmount server, but I want to:

1: Have the option to fit as many water-cooled GPUs as possible in the case I decide on.

  1. Was looking into PCIe expansion cards to see if I can turn them horizontal to determine if I can fit them into a 2U case.

To save space, I wanted to find a 4090 block that takes up the least amount of space, but I still want the option to overclock it. I figured someone here would know this better than other subreddits.

This video did a great job comparing the performance, but PCB size is a hard one to search for.

Are there any websites that show broken down GPUs, kind of like ifixit does?

So I need help deciding if I should go through Corsair hydro x system and get my rads that why are are their better rads elsewhere

For reference my pc parts will be CPU: ryzen 7 7700x Gpu currently: msi ventus 3080 might upgrade to the 7900 xtx haven’t decided on that yet And my case is gonna be the Corsair 7000d airflow and it has the ability to hold 2 480mm,a 420mm and a 120mm rad My budgets $2k

My first PC was an ultra budget Optiplex- style build with a 4th gen CPU and a GTX 980, so I’m not counting it as a full PC build.

Anyway, I have a 3090 with a waterblock, an AM5 block for my 7800x3d, and my case and motherboard.

Right now I’m only missing coolant, tubing, and fans for my 360 and 240mm radiators.

I’ve installed my DDR5 6400 RAM into my motherboard with my CPU and installed a new bios so my B650 will run.

What’s the next step? Do I install the motherboard in my 011 Vision and start on the loop, or are there other steps to do next?

I’d appreciate any help from experienced water coolers, because there’s a lot in the line and I want the build to go smoothly.

Any advice / criticism is really appreciated, thanks in advance.

Hey Guys,

does anyone know, which Waterblock fit on this Card?? This Model is not listed on EKWB or Aquatuning and i cant find it too on Byksky.

hello, i have already build an awesome dual watercooling loop but i have allways wanted that my room stays cool in summer months, so i have allways wanted that i could have also radiator outside.

i try my best to tell what i mean exactly.

anyways, i have dual loop watercooling, for 5900x and 3080ti, and 420(cpu) and 560(gpu) 50mm rads for them. i want to also cool this same liquid with outside air, and i even saw that LTT made this kinda same stull with head exhanger and radiator, so the pc coolant stays the same and for outside i can use some car coolant because the outside temp in winter can go like -30celsius here. also im thinking that outside rad pump should be manually turnable off so when there is really cold outside, i dont allways need outside cooling, so i can turn it off and heat my room

this is my first costum loop and i basically also want to build this extra for the challenge

so parts i need is 1. radiator, probably some car engine rad is good enough with some adapters or better is even the heat exchanger for cabin heater i guess? relatively cheap also second hand

  1. pump, what would you suggest be the best one? it can work either 220v(eu) or 12v, doesnt have to be really powerful but just decent that moves water
  2. water to water heat exchangers, these are the ones i have been looking but have no idea what are the best ones? for heatexchange/cost ratios, i have found some generics in aliexpress for 30-100 dollars but dont know how good they really are. so if you know what are the best and cheapest (because they do not have to be really big i quess?) to use in this project

so if anyone can help, suggest or anything how to do it, im happy to read all the suggestions.

also there is a pic of how i was thinking to do it (ps i was thinking to leave pump outside because of the quietness)

its already kinda quiet machine, but introducing outside rad, will make it even more quieter.

Hello, I plan on putting dual 480s in the new corsair 9000d, up top, going to daisy chain them with 45 mm thick rads. Soft tubing, do you guys believe this will be adequate for the next intel flagship cpu and the rtx 5090, I would assume the blackwell chip will be around the same TDP. I enjoy these discussions, thank you all. Going to run a corsair D5 pump. Getting the right rads is frustrating me, have to do one crossflow and a normal side by side.

Does anyone have a 3D Model of the Watercool Heatkiller 4090 FE block? I would like to try to modify/print a new version of their end cap with the ports oriented so that the watercooling tubes are parallel to the face of the card. I need to do this to reduce the overall thickness as my PC case won't close. Pictures below as a better explanation.

I'm planning on using an Ultimaker S7 my office has with Gizmodorks Acetyl 2.85MM material

https://shop.watercool.de/HEATKILLER-V-PRO-for-RTX-4090-FE-ACRYL-Ni-aRGB_1

https://gizmodorks.com/acetal-3d-printer-filament/

Tubes currently come in perpendicular

Would like to print the end-cap with holes set up for parallel tubes like this

Am I missing anything? Are any of these incompatible with each other? I wanted to get the EK fittings but they didn't have the 10/16mm size.
