Guys, good morning

Has anyone come across a good case that can hold both items together safely? If so can you share a link with me!

Thank you

Gonna try to keep it short. I’m a bit disappointed. Particularly with smooth follow. There needs to be some way to adjust how fast smooth follow acts. It’s way too slow. I hate moving my head and half the screen is covered. Honestly it comes down to the small viewport of the glasses. Both smooth follow and anchor would be amazing with a larger viewport. But we NEED mirror mode and/or a more customizable smooth follow. Being able to easily adjust volume and depth is great but there’s some issues imo that stop the beam from being the solution I was hoping it would be. Also 120hz please.

Anyone know of a code or site that is cheaper than Xreal total of $139.06? Shipping and Tax sucks. I just bought the glasses and saw that the beam can make the image even bigger. I want it. Anyone have the hookup?

Just using the Beam, Xreal Air, Switch OLED, and all included cables with the Xreal devices, I'm getting obvious audio lag, even after restarting the Beam. I haven't fully restarted the Switch yet.

If the audio lag stays this bad, my Beam will probably be a paperweight until it gets more features (raw screen mirror, Chromecast support in any capacity) or fixes issues (audio lag).

Anyone else having audio lag problems with the Beam on wired devices?

EDIT: Restarting Switch doesn't help. Going into settings to change TV audio type to Mono helps slightly but not enough. This is wild considering the glasses themselves are perfectly capable of perfect audio latency when wired to a Steam Deck or to HDMI adapters.

Sorry y'all, this is a paperweight to me for now. I don't play my Switch enough to constantly use the Beam, and I already own a Pixel phone only, so I'll stick to plugging directly into and using it with the Steam Deck until the Beam gets more features. I'll be hesitant to recommend the Beam until then.

I’m not sure if anyone else has issues with body anchor, but when I do turn my head the image gets very blurry until I stop moving. I’m not shaking my head around, I’m just slowly turning to look away from the anchored screen. I’m seeing blur, and jagged lines. Also I didn’t expect streaming services to work just yet via AirPlay, but I was expecting YouTube to function. I’m using the same wifi on my phone and beam, and I’ve got an iPhone 12 Pro. So far I can get a video to play briefly and then when an ad plays I lose the image. I have not tried the wired connection, I’m sure that works adequately(I’ll update if it doesn’t). Oh I forgot to mention that my glasses and Beam are both updated, as is my phone. Anyone have any tips or tricks go get airplay working a little better, and how to clear the image up? I’ve crawled through the posts, and have yet to see an answer to this, so I figured I’d put this out there.

Does anyone have experience with Ginger software for multi-monitor virtual screen display with Windows 11 PC? How does this compare with expected Nebula functionality? Thanks.

Pretty much every wireless device I've ever used offered an option to manually enter a separate SSID in case you want to connect to a hidden network. It's a fairly basic feature to be missing.

Make it happen, XReal. Thanks.

finally my beam arrived, not sure if I'm happy or I'm disappointed with Beam overall functionality maybe 70% happy with it.

the good

  1. Finally every phone i own is supported via mirror mode , no more cabling and adapters
  2. way less clutter
  3. the 3 viewing modes in the beam is convenient to switch anytime, pinning the screen on a fixed location is neat features.

the bad

  1. i tried DLNA as they said it supported but not sure why its not working correctly only audio , but video output is distorted.
  2. it very gets reallllllllly HOT when using it outdoor
  3. battery life is not really long lasting (will try do a full time test)

the unknown

  1. what's the 32gb storage mentioned , is there any use for it?
  2. Get disconnected from wifi permanently until the device is restarted. trying to recreate the problem but it happens randomly

Hi team,

When can we expect spacetop-like window management features for Xreal for desktops? With Nebula, it is not easy to use as it is. Space Top is working on placing each open window in the space, which looks fantastic. If you could bring this to Xreal, it would be a super economical competition for Apple. Please consider.

Only making this redundant post to give people an idea of where Xreal is up to on their preorder list, I ordered mine on June 20th and just moments ago got my tracking #

My Situation: I have enough money to have both, but it would be a waste if I would use my TV. I have the Samsung the Frame TV (2-3 Months old) 50inch. I saw that the airs have 330 cinema screen (with beam or in future with nebula) oled, … . So what is about the comfort, sound and so on. What are ur thoughts and maybe experiences.

Just seen the first real review of the Rokid Station and - for me at least - it seems a better option than the Beam. Essentially it's an Android TV box that can connect directly to the Rokid glasses.

I was planning to get the Beam, but reading all these issues with streaming, DRM and connections makes me think that a box that runs Android TV and allows you to Chromecast directly to it would work better for me. Of course, the one thing you don't get is the ability to fix or move the screen position, but I've come to realise that I don't really care about that anyhow, and having all my various streaming services running off a smaller device with its own battery would be perfect. I'm curious whether this device would work if plugged into the Xreal Airs ;-)

I'd be interested to hear whether you prefer this to the Beam or whether the unique functions of the Beam are important for you.

I have a S22 ultra. If I plug it in to the Beam, nebula doesn't detect my glasses. Doesn't work over wifi either but that makes sense since it's screen casting.

Edit: got then. Basically, I'm impressed. I like the new features but I'm still unable to connect to my pixel. I'm currently connected to my ps5 and the image stabilization is nice
