Apparently she thought she was applying the brake pedal. She insists that was the case, that she was not mistaken, and that the error lies with the car. She refuses to entertain the possibility of human error on her part.
Mechanics have not found anything wrong with the car, and telemetry indicates the accelerator pedal was held to the floor.
Either way, she clearly can't be allowed to drive ever again, at minimum. The current sentence bans her from driving for five years, but she has already taken a driving test in case she does get to drive again.
that's entirely not possible even if she is driving a F1 car since it takes time and distance to get up to that speed. if the attorney can fetch her phone location tracking record, can roughly know how fast she usually travel on a car for the days before that accident.
Probably fell asleep or had a "senior" moment, didn't really know what was happening
