@fediverse do you think Tumblr + activitypub will ever happen?

on one hand, it’s been over half a year and the only confirmation was a tweet from auttomatics CEO; but their other brand wordpress *did* just implement activitypub through a plug-in… thoughts?

Honestly, the difference between Tumblr and a Lemmy community is somewhat fleeting. Most of the best tumblrs are just one person post image after image with an occasional blogpost.

If lemmy got some more window dressings and maybe a vertical layout and boosts, you'd have a tumblr clone.

Lemmy is about interacting, Tumblr is more about showcasing. There will be better fits, in fact as @[email protected] pointed out, Calckey is already a good fit.
