If your provider is unable to verify VoLTE support for your device, it may be blocked from Australian networks from the 1st of November 2024.

As I understand it, 4G and 5G standards only have VoLTE to make phone calls, and VoLTE is not truly standardised.

So, without 2G and/or 3G, you can't be certain any phone can make an emergency call. Even phones that are brand new 4G and 5G only phones.
