We have the opposite issue at times. My wife will close curtains and roller shutters at like 7 pm in the warm months and put lights on..when it's still daylight outside.

I open curtains as much as possible in spring because light disinfects and light is good for mood

once it's hot days in summer I can close them a bit

On hot days the blinds stay down usually. I prefer a naturally cooled house to AC.

Nah im with your wife. Mine will go "but its still light outside!" ignoring the fact that its still 38 outside too. Lightbulbs cheaper to run than pushing the AC harder.

I'm talking about regular days in the mid 20's. Hot days curtains are down.
