This is a little random, but if I ever decide to become a scientist I really want to study sleep. Things like hypnic jerks, exploding head syndrome, and sleep paralysis really really fascinate me in an "I neeeeeed to know WHY*" type of way. I've directly experienced all of them, and I've read just about every theory under the sun about them, but they just don't satisfy me

For what it’s worth, I think you’d be a really good scientist. You have a natural curiosity about things and a can think deeper about things, and a knack for problem solving. All the essentials.

I could never really get into those scp things

The fact that we need sleep also intrigues me.

I hope you get to become a sleep scientist one day!

Yeah sleep in general deserves a bit more research than it really gets. All of those things that are universal across all humans but without obvious reasons fascinate me

I don't think I'll get to become a scientist of any variety - I don't think I'd be very suited to the work. But if I did, sleep and psychology would be my 2 specialities

Sleep psychologist! Sleep psychologist!

I have a friend that is pursuing this path, so if you have any burning questions, I can ask for you :)
