Solo game dev obeys one rule above all else:

Always Be Shipping.

There is some ideal in your mind, and it does not fucking matter, if nobody else sees any version of your game. You absolutely need to publish A Game. If that game is not the game you had in mind, oh fucking well. Make sure you push out something, and for god's sake, try to focus on the important parts first.
