Recommendations: Secure minimal wireless camera app for old phones (self.foss)

Hey there, I’m looking to convert any of my old phones (iPhone or android) into a wireless camera that I can set up around the house and use from another app on my daily use phone. I could run a server app on my home server or have it cloud based. Any recommendations would be welcome.

I don't have an answer for you, but in my experience, using an old phone for that purpose is asking for trouble. I had a phone's battery puff up bad when I was using it as a security device (not even as a camera, but as a recorder for IP cams I already had). The thing was always warm, and keeping it at that state 24/7 just wasn't good, or safe!

That is a great warning for sure. I appreciate it especially with older devices.
