If we can get all the fossil fuel vehicles off our roads, out of our seas and out of our skies, we'll have a much better environment. I'm amazed that they only learn about this now. Using regenerative braking on trains was something we got taught about in school, and that's nearly 40 years ago.

Until fall 2024 Caltrain ran on diesel engines. It just electrified so I don’t think returning energy was feasible for the line until just recently.
