Our Rules:

  1. Keep it civil. We're all people here. Be respectful to one another.

  2. No sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia or any other flavor of bigotry. I should not need to explain this one.

People you know online know your address or you know their address? Freaky as shit. My IRL friends barely know my address.

I've gone to two weddings for people that I met playing games. It's about the only time we can all get together. I think we've only got 2 more in our little group.

I'm in a niche buy-trade-sell group.

There are many many regulars that all very close now after 3 years, and we know each other's info.

I trust those folks more than anybody irl.

Hell, my sister asked my address and I gave it to her. A few weeks later, she proceeded to let me know that she gave it to someone who had called her on the phone. She didn't know who it was. It was debt-collection company who had been harassing me for my ex-spouse's debts and legal dealings.

My info is safer with internet strangers than folks I've known for my whole life. Lol

I made a friend in Mobster Hunter. Accidentally. I added them and shared an anecdote from the recent hunt we had, but I added the wrong person. But they said “I’d love to hunt with you if you’d like, though!” and my partner and I invited them along. We started playing nearly every day together. Then other games. Then movie hangouts in VR.

Then they informed us they the place they were living in was shutting down and they had to go back to the place they grew up to live. They CURRENTLY lived about a three or four hour drive from us, and we were on the way to their destination.

You better BELIEVE we had them stay over for a weekend on their way home!

We know their address so we can send them birthday presents.

My sister has to ask every time she visits me.

For my high school graduation, my wow guild got together, and about 25 of us went to disneyland. After disneyland, we all got hammered at one of our healers' apartments.

As in WoW, in real life if you're going to get hammered having a healer nearby is a good choice.

A few of my online friends know my address, but we're all in a close-knit server together, and I've even met some of them in real life.
